Formsite takes registrations, applications and order forms. FlowMattic copies each result into Google Sheets and can do more with it on the way: move people to a waitlist once places run out, update an applicant's row when they send the form again, or log order totals as numbers. For event organisers, schools and small offices.

1. TriggerNew Form Result
2. ActionAdd New Row
When Formsite fires New Form Result, FlowMattic runs Add New Row in Google Sheets with the data from that event.
You build this in the FlowMattic workflow builder on your own site. See the setup steps
Formsite and Google Sheets workflows you can build
Each one uses only triggers and actions the two integrations ship today, plus FlowMattic's own tools. Where the library has a ready-made template, import it instead of building from scratch.
Ready-made template
Store each new Formsite result in Google Sheets
Every result becomes a row with its answers in the columns you choose, so the people who act on the forms work from a shared sheet instead of the Formsite results page.
Fill event places, then move registrants to a waitlist
Get Row Count reads how many people are registered. A Branch adds the result to the attendee tab while places remain and to the waitlist tab once the event is full.
New Form Result→Get Row Count→Branch→Add New Row
Keep one row per applicant when they submit again
Applicants often resend a form to correct something. Lookup Row Data finds their email, a Router updates their existing row, and only first-time applicants get a new one.
New Form Result→Lookup Row Data→Router→Update Row→Add New Row
Log order form totals as numbers you can add up
Number Formatter turns the total from your order form into a plain number before it is written, so the sheet can sum takings by day without fixing text values.
New Form Result→Number Formatter→Add New Row
Show a running registration count on a summary tab
After the row is added, the new row count is written to one cell on a summary tab. Organisers glance at that cell instead of scrolling the list.
New Form Result→Add New Row→Get Row Count→Update Cell Data
Split full names into first and last name columns
A single name box gives one string. Text Formatter splits it, so mail merges and name badges can use the first name on its own.
New Form Result→Text Formatter→Add New Row
Set up: results stored as rows
By the last step, each new result on your Formsite form is added to the sheet as one row.
1
Connect Formsite
Under Connects, add a Formsite connection with the account that owns the form.
2
Connect Google Sheets
Add a Google Sheets connection with an account that can edit the spreadsheet, and give the sheet a header row.
3
Start with New Form Result
Create a workflow with the Formsite New Form Result trigger, pick the form and submit a test result so FlowMattic captures the items.
4
Write the row
Add Google Sheets Add New Row, map each form item to its column, test the step and switch the workflow on.

Triggers and actions in this pair
A trigger starts a workflow. An action is something FlowMattic does in the app as a step.
Good to know
These workflows copy each Formsite result into the sheet; editing a row does not edit or delete the result in Formsite.
The waitlist example counts rows, including the header. Set the Branch limit to your capacity plus one, or count from a column that only holds attendees.
Item names come from your form, so the mapping above is an example. Results submitted before the workflow was switched on are not copied.

Why run this pair with FlowMattic
Formsite and Google Sheets connect through FlowMattic on your own site, with no separate automation account in the middle and no charge per run.
Results go through your own site
Registrations and applications move from Formsite to Google Sheets through your WordPress server, not through another company's automation account.
Busy registration weeks cost nothing extra
Runs are unlimited, so the week a popular event opens costs the same in FlowMattic as a quiet one.
The sheet acts on each result
Waitlists, repeat applicants and running counts are handled as each result arrives, so nobody tidies the sheet by hand afterwards.
Common questions
How do I send Formsite results to Google Sheets?
Create a workflow with the Formsite New Form Result trigger, add Google Sheets Add New Row and map the form items to columns. Test it with a real result, then switch it on.
Can I stop accepting registrations when the sheet is full?
FlowMattic cannot close the form in Formsite, but it can sort people. Count rows with Get Row Count and use a Branch to send later registrants to a waitlist tab, then close the form yourself.
Can I copy my older Formsite results?
The trigger only sees results submitted after the workflow is on. Export your earlier results from Formsite once and paste or import them into the sheet before you switch the workflow on.
Can different forms write to different tabs?
Yes. Build one workflow per form, each with its own Add New Row step pointing at a tab, or use one spreadsheet with a tab per form.
