Monitor a product page price and alert Slack when it falls below your target

On a schedule, the Browser scrapes the product price using the name: selector pair you set (point it at an element showing a plain number such as 499.00); a Branch compares it with your target as a whole number and alerts Slack on every check while it is below the target, otherwise logging the check to a sheet.

How this workflow runs

What happens at each step once the workflow is on, and what you need before you import it.

  1. Step 1Trigger
    Schedule Every X Hours

This workflow runs on a schedule (Every X Hours) — it starts on its own at the interval and time you set in the Schedule trigger. No incoming event is needed.

  2. Step 2Action
FlowMattic Browser Scrape Content by Selector

FlowMattic Browser — extract text values from a URL using CSS selectors. Ideal for pricing intel, job boards, real-estate feeds → Google Sheets. Data is mapped from earlier steps; connect your FlowMattic Browser account on import.

  3. Step 3Logic
    Branch Price below target?

The Branch evaluates "Price below target?": when it's true the Yes path runs, otherwise the No path runs — two outcomes, one workflow.

  4. Step 4Action
    Slack Send Channel Message

On the Yes path (condition met) — Slack — post or Schedule a new message to a specific #channel. Data is mapped from earlier steps; connect your Slack account on import.

  5. Step 5Action
    Google Sheets Add New Row

On the No path (otherwise) — Google Sheets — trigger when a new row is added to the spreadsheet. Data is mapped from earlier steps; connect your Google Sheets account on import.

It is self hosted and wordpress based. So you can effectively run this on any shared hosting with unlimited tasks. And new integrations are constantly being added. It's crazy how valuable this tool is.

The software works really well, and the team is adding integrations constantly, so I'm positive it eventually will catch up with Zapier. The flows are very easy to create and if you have any doubt, the team will give you great support.
