Add a follow-up task in Todoist when a subitem is created
When a subitem is created on a monday sales CRM board, FlowMattic creates a Todoist task for it, so the small next steps logged against a deal also show up on your personal to-do list.

What this workflow does
Subitems in monday sales CRM are handy for breaking a deal into small next steps: send the proposal, book the demo, chase the contract. But if you plan your day in Todoist, those steps are easy to miss. This workflow puts each new subitem on your Todoist list as a task.
The monday sales CRM trigger, Subitem Created, fires when a subitem is created in the board you select. Its details, such as the subitem name, become values you can map. The Todoist step, Create Task, then adds a new task with the content you built from those values.
Every new subitem on the board creates a task, whoever added it. Editing or completing the subitem later doesn't change the Todoist task, and ticking off the task doesn't update monday. Task History shows each run if you need to check what was sent.
Sales rep who plans the day in Todoist
Each subitem added under a deal, like Send pricing or Book demo, appears as a Todoist task so the rep sees it next to everything else on their list.
Founder tracking follow-ups across deals
A founder who reviews deals in monday but works from Todoist gets every new follow-up subitem as a task, without copying them across.
Account manager handover
When a teammate adds subitems for onboarding steps on a closed deal, the account manager receives them as Todoist tasks.
How this workflow runs
What happens at each step once the workflow is on, and what you need before you import it.
monday sales CRM Subitem CreatedRuns when a subitem is created in the monday sales CRM board you choose. The subitem's details are passed on for the Todoist task.
Todoist Create TaskAdds a fresh Todoist task for the new monday subitem. Connect your Todoist account, then build the task text from the monday subitem values, for example its name, so the task says what needs doing.
What you need
- FlowMatticCore
- monday sales CRM AccountAccount
- Todoist AccountAccount
After importing, map your own data. To keep the template universal, not every step is pre-filled. Open each step in the builder and connect your accounts and fields (channels, lists, sheets, recipients) before you switch the workflow on.
Make it yours
Changes worth making after you import it.
- Put the parent deal's name in the task text if the subitem event includes it, so a task like Send pricing still makes sense away from the board.
- If only some subitems are your follow-ups, add a Filter after the trigger on a value such as the person column, so others' subitems don't land in your Todoist.
- Run a test by adding a subitem after import. The trigger step then shows the real monday values you can use in the task.
Questions about this workflow
Does completing the Todoist task update the monday subitem?
No. The flow only goes one way, from a new monday subitem to a new Todoist task. Status changes on either side aren't synced.
Which monday sales CRM board does this Todoist workflow watch?
The board you select in the trigger step. Subitems on other boards don't start a run unless you add another workflow for them.
Will subitems created before import become Todoist tasks?
No. Only subitems created while the workflow is on start a run.
Can these monday follow-ups go into one Todoist project?
Open the Create Task step after import to see which options it offers, and run a test to confirm where the task lands.
