Add new Google Lead Forms responses to MailerLite as subscribers

Each new lead from a Google lead form is added to MailerLite as a subscriber, or the existing subscriber is updated, so people who fill in your ad forms are ready for your email campaigns.

Google Lead Form MailerLite

2 steps Setup ~5 min Used on 488 sites Free to import

The Add new Google Lead Forms responses to MailerLite as subscribers workflow on the FlowMattic canvas, with 2 steps across Google Lead Form, MailerLite
The workflow as it appears in the builder after import. Each step opens for editing.

What this workflow does

Google lead forms let people send you their details without leaving the ad. Those leads then wait in your Google Ads account until someone downloads them by hand. This workflow puts each one into MailerLite as it arrives.

The Google Lead Form trigger fires when a new lead is created, and the answers from the form become values you can map. FlowMattic then runs MailerLite's Create or Update Subscriber action. A new email address becomes a new subscriber. An address MailerLite already has is updated with the values you map, including custom fields, rather than added twice.

Every lead goes through the same two steps, with no Filter, so each form response reaches MailerLite. The subscriber's status and any welcome emails then follow your MailerLite settings. Submit a test lead after import to capture the form's answers, map them, and check Task History to confirm MailerLite accepted the subscriber.

Ebook offer in a search ad

Your ad offers a free guide in exchange for an email address. Each lead becomes a MailerLite subscriber, ready for the email that delivers the guide.

Local service quote requests

A roofing company runs a lead form for quotes. Leads land in MailerLite, where a follow-up sequence explains the quoting process while sales calls them.

Event sign-ups from a video campaign

Viewers register interest in a workshop through the ad form. They go straight into MailerLite so the reminder emails before the event reach them.

How this workflow runs

What happens at each step once the workflow is on, and what you need before you import it.

  1. Step 1Trigger
    Google Lead Form New Lead

Fires when a new lead is created through your Google lead form. The lead's form answers become available to map in the MailerLite step. Send a test lead after import so the fields are captured.

  2. Step 2Action
    MailerLite Create or Update Subscriber

Creates the subscriber in MailerLite, or updates an existing subscriber with the same email. Map the lead's email address and any name or custom field values you want stored.

What you need

  • FlowMatticCore
  • Google Lead Form AccountAccount
  • MailerLite AccountAccount

After importing, map your own data. To keep the template universal, not every step is pre-filled. Open each step in the builder and connect your accounts and fields (channels, lists, sheets, recipients) before you switch the workflow on.

Make it yours

Changes worth making after you import it.

  • Add MailerLite's Add Subscriber to a Group action after this step to place ad leads in their own group. The subscriber exists by then, so the group step has someone to add.
  • With more than one Google lead form feeding this workflow, add a Router whose routes each match one form's ID, if the lead data carries it, and give each route its own group step.
  • If the lead data includes a campaign or form ID, map it into a MailerLite custom field, so you can later see which ad each subscriber came from.

Questions about this workflow

What happens if a Google lead form contact is already a MailerLite subscriber?

MailerLite updates the existing subscriber with the values you map instead of creating a second one, because the action is Create or Update Subscriber.

Does this add leads to a particular MailerLite group?

Not as imported. The step only creates or updates the subscriber. Add the Add Subscriber to a Group action afterwards to put ad leads in a group.

Will leads already sitting in Google Ads be imported?

No. The trigger fires for new leads, so only leads created after you set up the workflow reach MailerLite. Download older ones from Google Ads and import them into MailerLite separately.

Do I need a MailerLite account for this?

Yes. You connect your MailerLite account when you import the workflow, and the subscribers are added to it.
