Create a HubSpot CRM contact from each new Picreel lead

When a visitor leaves their details in a Picreel popup, this workflow creates a contact in HubSpot CRM from that lead, so the people your exit-intent offers capture are ready for your sales and marketing follow-up.

The workflow as it appears in the builder after import. Each step opens for editing.

What this workflow does

Picreel popups catch visitors as they are about to leave, often with a discount or a download in exchange for an email address. Those leads only help if they reach the CRM your team works from. Exporting them by hand leaves gaps and delays. This workflow sends each one to HubSpot as it arrives.

The Picreel trigger is New Lead, which fires when a lead is created. FlowMattic receives the lead data and passes it to HubSpot CRM, where Create Contact adds a contact. Map the lead's email and any other details Picreel captures into the contact when you set up the step.

This HubSpot step makes new contacts and never edits existing ones. If the same person fills in a Picreel popup twice, or is already in HubSpot, HubSpot may refuse the duplicate email. Task History shows HubSpot's response on that step, so you can see when that happens.

Exit-intent discount for an online store

Shoppers who grab a discount code from a Picreel popup become HubSpot contacts, so marketing can include them in its email follow-up.

Gated guide on a B2B site

A Picreel offer trades a guide for an email. Sales sees each new lead as a HubSpot contact and can check whether the company fits.

Webinar sign-ups from a popup

A Picreel campaign promotes an upcoming webinar. Registrants appear in HubSpot, where your team already manages the invite emails.

How this workflow runs

What happens at each step once the workflow is on, and what you need before you import it.

  1. Step 1Trigger
    Picreel New Lead

Fires when Picreel records a new lead from one of your popups. The data the visitor submitted becomes available for the HubSpot step.

  2. Step 2Action
    HubSpot CRM Create Contact

Creates a contact in HubSpot CRM from the Picreel lead. Connect your HubSpot account and map the lead's email, plus any name or other values the popup collects.

What you need

  • FlowMatticCore
  • Picreel AccountAccount
  • HubSpot CRM AccountAccount

After importing, map your own data. To keep the template universal, not every step is pre-filled. Open each step in the builder and connect your accounts and fields (channels, lists, sheets, recipients) before you switch the workflow on.

Make it yours

Changes worth making after you import it.

  • Add a Filter after the Picreel trigger that continues only when the email is not empty, if some of your popups collect leads without an address.
  • Want Picreel leads grouped in HubSpot? Add HubSpot's Add Contact To List step after Create Contact and map in the contact that the previous step returns. Test it with a fresh lead.
  • Submit a test lead through a live Picreel popup after import so FlowMattic captures the fields, then map them into the contact.

Questions about this workflow

What happens if the Picreel lead is already a HubSpot contact?

Create Contact won't update the existing HubSpot record for that Picreel lead. HubSpot may refuse the duplicate email, and Task History shows its reply for that run.

Which Picreel popup fields reach HubSpot?

Only the ones you map in the Create Contact step. Send a test lead after import to see which values Picreel provides, then match them to HubSpot properties.

Are leads Picreel collected before the workflow was on added to HubSpot?

No. New Lead reacts to leads created after you turn the workflow on. Older leads need to reach HubSpot some other way.

It's an exceptional product. Works great and extremely valuable. I saved thousands of dollard on Zapier, as Flowmattic makes me able to host the automation myself. And very deeply integrates with the products I need.

Tijn

Ease of use and terrific support from the founder. Tons of integrations and regular updates. The Flowmattic custom app is great especially if you want to integrate apps that aren't available yet inside Flowmattic.
