Create a HubSpot CRM contact from each new Shoprocket customer

When a customer is created in your Shoprocket store, this workflow adds them to HubSpot CRM as a contact, so your sales and marketing tools hold every buyer without a CSV export.

Shoprocket HubSpot CRM

2 steps Setup ~5 min Used on 2.2k sites Free to import

The Create a HubSpot CRM contact from each new Shoprocket customer workflow on the FlowMattic canvas, with 2 steps across Shoprocket, HubSpot CRM
The workflow as it appears in the builder after import. Each step opens for editing.

What this workflow does

Shoprocket lets you sell from any website, and it keeps its own list of customers. If your marketing and follow-up run in HubSpot, that list has to be copied over before you can email or report on those buyers. This workflow does it for each customer as Shoprocket creates them.

The Shoprocket trigger fires when a customer is created. FlowMattic receives the customer's details, such as name and email, and passes them on. The HubSpot CRM step creates a contact with the properties you map.

The workflow runs once per new Shoprocket customer, not per order, so a buyer Shoprocket already has on file does not start it again when they order. HubSpot's Create Contact action makes new records only. Task History shows each run, with what Shoprocket sent and what HubSpot answered.

Post-purchase emails from HubSpot

A small brand selling through Shoprocket sends thank-you and review request emails from HubSpot to each new customer contact.

Customer list for a wholesale team

A sales rep reviews new Shoprocket customers in HubSpot to spot businesses that might want wholesale pricing.

Combining shop buyers with other leads

A creator who also collects leads from webinars keeps store customers in the same HubSpot account for one view of their audience.

How this workflow runs

What happens at each step once the workflow is on, and what you need before you import it.

  1. Step 1Trigger
    Shoprocket Customer Created

Fires when a new customer is created in your Shoprocket store. The customer's details are passed on to be mapped into HubSpot.

  2. Step 2Action
    HubSpot CRM Create Contact

Creates a contact in HubSpot CRM for the Shoprocket customer. Map email, first name and last name, plus any other properties you keep, and connect HubSpot during import.

What you need

  • FlowMatticCore
  • Shoprocket AccountAccount
  • HubSpot CRM AccountAccount

After importing, map your own data. To keep the template universal, not every step is pre-filled. Open each step in the builder and connect your accounts and fields (channels, lists, sheets, recipients) before you switch the workflow on.

Make it yours

Changes worth making after you import it.

  • Set a HubSpot property such as lead source to Shoprocket in the mapping, so store customers are easy to find in HubSpot lists.
  • Add a second workflow with the Shoprocket Order Created trigger if you also want each purchase recorded, since this one runs only when a customer is created.
  • Place a test order with a new email after import so FlowMattic captures the customer fields, then complete the HubSpot mapping.

Questions about this workflow

Does a repeat Shoprocket buyer create a second HubSpot contact?

Not from a repeat order alone. The trigger fires when Shoprocket creates a customer record, not for each order, so a customer Shoprocket already knows does not run the workflow again.

What if the Shoprocket customer is already in HubSpot?

This HubSpot action makes new contacts only and leaves existing ones alone. HubSpot may refuse an email it already holds, and Task History records the reply for that run.

Are my existing Shoprocket customers sent to HubSpot?

No. Only customers created after you switch the workflow on are sent.

Does the HubSpot contact include order details?

Not as imported. The trigger carries customer data. Order totals and products need a workflow built on a Shoprocket order trigger.
