Create a Post in Voxel through any online form submission
Each Contact Form 7 submission creates a new post through Voxel, using the form answers you map, so visitors can send in listings or entries for your site without a dashboard login.

What this workflow does
Directory and listing sites built with Voxel often want outsiders to suggest entries: a new business, an event, a venue. Giving those people a WordPress account is overkill, and copying emailed details into a post takes time. This workflow turns a simple form into post creation.
The Contact Form 7 trigger fires each time a visitor submits your form, and every field they filled in comes into FlowMattic. The Voxel Create New Post step then creates a post from those answers. You decide which form field becomes the title, which becomes the content, and how the rest is used.
As imported it uses Contact Form 7. To start from a different form plugin, swap the trigger for that plugin's form trigger in FlowMattic and remap the fields. Every submission creates a post, so add a Filter if some entries shouldn't. Task History shows each run and the post Voxel created.
Business directory submissions
Local businesses fill in a Contact Form 7 form with their name, address and description, and each one becomes a post you review in Voxel.
Community event listings
Organisers send event details through a form on your site. The answers create a Voxel post, so you only edit and approve instead of retyping.
Job board entries from employers
Employers post openings through a short form without needing an account, and each entry is created as a post on your Voxel site.
How this workflow runs
What happens at each step once the workflow is on, and what you need before you import it.
Contact Form 7 New Form SubmissionStarts whenever someone sends in the Contact Form 7 form you use for entries. All submitted fields are passed on so you can map them into the new Voxel post.
- Voxel Create New Post
Creates a new post through Voxel from the submission. Map the form fields to the post title, content and any other values the step asks for, then test with one submission.
What you need
- FlowMatticCore
- Contact Form 7 PluginPlugin
- Voxel AccountAccount
After importing, map your own data. To keep the template universal, not every step is pre-filled. Open each step in the builder and connect your accounts and fields (channels, lists, sheets, recipients) before you switch the workflow on.
Make it yours
Changes worth making after you import it.
- Mark the fields you need for a post as required in Contact Form 7 (for example text* for the title), so every submission can produce a complete post.
- Add a Filter after the trigger that continues only when a consent or terms checkbox is ticked, so posts come only from visitors who agreed to your rules.
- Send one test submission after import so FlowMattic captures the form fields, then map them in the Voxel step and check the post it creates.
Questions about this workflow
Can I use a form plugin other than Contact Form 7?
Yes. Replace the Contact Form 7 trigger with another form trigger in FlowMattic, such as one for your form plugin, then remap the fields in the Voxel step.
Will Voxel posts from the form go live straight away?
That depends on how you set up the Create New Post step after import. Run a test submission and check the new post in WordPress before you share the form.
Does every Contact Form 7 submission create a Voxel post?
Yes, as imported. Each submission runs both steps. Add a Filter after the trigger if you want to stop some entries, such as ones missing a field.
Do Contact Form 7 notification emails still arrive?
Yes. Creating the Voxel post happens alongside the form's normal handling, and the workflow leaves Contact Form 7's mail tab untouched.
