Create a Stripe customer from each new Funnelish order
Each new Funnelish order creates a customer in your Stripe account from the buyer’s details, so every person who orders through your funnel has a Stripe customer record ready for invoices or later billing.

What this workflow does
Funnelish runs your sales funnels and takes the order. If you also bill or invoice people directly in Stripe, you need a Stripe customer for each buyer, and adding them one at a time is tedious. This workflow creates that customer from each new order.
The Funnelish trigger starts the workflow as soon as an order is placed in your funnel. FlowMattic captures the order data, including the buyer details Funnelish sends with it. The Stripe step then runs Create Customer, and you map the buyer's email, name and any other details you want stored on the customer.
Every order starts its own run, so a repeat buyer triggers a second Create Customer. Stripe allows several customers with the same email, so that person can end up with more than one customer record. The tips show how to check for an existing customer first. Each run is listed in Task History with Stripe's response.
Funnel buyers who get custom invoices later
A coaching business sells an entry offer in Funnelish, then sends custom invoices from Stripe. The Stripe customer is already there when the invoice goes out.
Keeping Stripe in step with funnel sales
Each Funnelish buyer appears in your Stripe customer list, so finance can look people up in one place.
Preparing for a subscription upsell
Buyers of a one-off product get a Stripe customer you can attach a subscription to later, using a separate step or workflow.
How this workflow runs
What happens at each step once the workflow is on, and what you need before you import it.
Funnelish New OrderStarts a run for every order placed through your Funnelish funnels. The order and buyer data are captured so you can map them into the Stripe customer.
Stripe Create CustomerCreates a new customer in Stripe. Connect your Stripe account and map the buyer's email and name from the Funnelish order into the customer.
What you need
- FlowMatticCore
- Funnelish AccountAccount
- Stripe AccountAccount
After importing, map your own data. To keep the template universal, not every step is pre-filled. Open each step in the builder and connect your accounts and fields (channels, lists, sheets, recipients) before you switch the workflow on.
Make it yours
Changes worth making after you import it.
- To avoid duplicate customers for repeat buyers, add Stripe's Find Customer by Email step after the trigger, then a Filter that lets Create Customer run only when no customer was found.
- Place a test order in Funnelish after import so FlowMattic captures real order data, and use it to map the email and name into Stripe.
- Add a Google Sheets Add New Row step after Stripe to log each order with the Stripe customer ID it created.
Questions about this workflow
Does this charge the Funnelish buyer again in Stripe?
No. Create Customer only creates a customer record. It doesn't take a payment or create a charge.
What happens when someone places a second Funnelish order?
The workflow runs again and creates another Stripe customer. Stripe accepts duplicate emails, so add a Find Customer by Email check first if you want one record per buyer.
Are earlier Funnelish orders copied to Stripe?
No. Orders placed before you switch the workflow on stay out of Stripe.
Does it fire on Funnelish opt-ins or refunds?
No. The trigger is New Order. Funnelish's separate New Activity trigger in FlowMattic covers opt-ins, purchase attempts and refunds.
