What this workflow does

Some directory owners sell listings, memberships or add-ons through a WooCommerce store and run the directory itself on Brilliant Directories. Without a link between the two, every buyer has to be added to the directory by hand. This workflow creates the directory user for you when the order comes in.

The WooCommerce trigger starts a run as soon as a shopper places an order in your store. FlowMattic passes the order and billing details to Brilliant Directories, where the Create User step adds a new user record to your website's database from the order values you map.

Keep two points in mind for this flow. The trigger fires when an order is created, so an order still awaiting payment also runs the workflow. And the template has no Filter or lookup, so a returning customer's second order tries to create the same user again; Brilliant Directories may refuse a repeat email, and Task History shows its response for that run.

Selling directory listings through WooCommerce

A local business directory sells listing packages as WooCommerce products, and each buyer is added as a member on the Brilliant Directories site.

Changes worth making after you import it.

Add a Filter after the trigger that continues only when the order status is processing or completed, so unpaid orders don't create directory users.
If only some products should create a directory user, add a Filter condition on the product name or ID from the order.
Place a test order after import so FlowMattic captures the WooCommerce fields, then map them and check the new user in Brilliant Directories.

What happens when the same WooCommerce customer orders twice?

The workflow runs again and tries to create another user with the same details. Add a Brilliant Directories Get User step and a Filter before Create User if you want to stop repeats.

Does a cancelled or failed WooCommerce order still create a user?

It can, because the trigger fires when the order is created, before payment is confirmed. A Filter on order status after the trigger prevents that.

Is a Brilliant Directories membership plan assigned too?

The template only creates the user record. Check the Create User step after import to see which details you can set, and test with one order.
