Generate Google AI feedback on copy via Gravity Forms and send to Notion

Paste a draft into a Gravity Forms form and Google AI writes feedback on it from a prompt you control, then FlowMattic saves the draft and the feedback as a new item in a Notion database for your team to review.

The Generate Google AI feedback on copy via Gravity Forms and send to Notion workflow on the FlowMattic canvas, with 3 steps across Gravity Forms, Google AI, Notion
The workflow as it appears in the builder after import. Each step opens for editing.

What this workflow does

Writers and marketers often want a quick second opinion on a headline, an ad or a product blurb before a human editor sees it. Collecting drafts and comments in chat threads makes them hard to find later. This workflow gathers drafts through a form, asks Google AI for feedback and files both in Notion.

The Gravity Forms trigger runs when someone submits your copy form. The Google AI step, Generate Text, sends a prompt you write to Google's model. Map the submitted copy into that prompt along with your instructions, such as tone, audience or length limits. The text the model returns becomes data for the next step.

The Notion step, Create Database Item, adds an entry to the database you choose. Map the original copy, the AI feedback and any other form answers to its properties. The template ships without a prompt, so the quality and focus of the feedback depend on what you write there.

Ad copy review for a small marketing team

Team members submit ad variants through the form. Each one lands in a Notion database with AI comments, ready for the lead to pick a winner.

Freelance writer self-check

Before sending a draft intro to a client, you submit it and read the feedback in your Notion writing database next to earlier versions.

Product description library

Store staff submit new product blurbs. The Notion database builds into a record of each blurb and the feedback it received.

How this workflow runs

What happens at each step once the workflow is on, and what you need before you import it.

  1. Step 1Trigger
    Gravity Forms New Form Submission

Runs when someone submits your Gravity Forms copy form. The draft text and any other answers, such as the channel or audience, are passed on for mapping.

  2. Step 2Action
    Google AI Generate Text

Sends your prompt to Google AI and returns the generated feedback. Write instructions in the prompt and map the submitted copy into it, then connect your Google AI account on import.

  3. Step 3Action
    Notion Create Database Item

Creates a new item in the Notion database you pick. Map the submitted copy, the Google AI response and other answers to the database properties, and share the database with your Notion connection.

What you need

  • FlowMatticCore
  • Gravity Forms PluginPlugin
  • Google AI AccountAccount
  • Notion AccountAccount

After importing, map your own data. To keep the template universal, not every step is pre-filled. Open each step in the builder and connect your accounts and fields (channels, lists, sheets, recipients) before you switch the workflow on.

Make it yours

Changes worth making after you import it.

  • Add a dropdown for the channel, such as email, ad or landing page, and map it into the prompt so the feedback matches where the copy will run.
  • Ask the model in the prompt for a fixed layout, for example three strengths, three fixes and a rewritten version, so every Notion item reads the same way.
  • Add a Notion property for status that your editor changes by hand, turning the database into a review queue rather than a plain archive.

Questions about this workflow

Is the AI feedback sent back to the person who submitted the Gravity Forms entry?

No. The feedback goes only into Notion. Add an email step after the Notion step if you want the submitter to receive it as well.

Do I need a Notion database set up before I import this?

Yes. Create Database Item adds to an existing database, so create one with properties for the copy and the feedback, and give your Notion connection access to it.

What does Google AI comment on?

It comments on the points your prompt names. The template has no prompt set, so you decide whether it checks clarity, tone, grammar or something else.

Can the feedback be wrong?

Yes. AI output can miss context or make mistakes, so treat it as a first pass for a person to review in Notion, not a final edit.
