What this workflow does
People who fill in a form want to know it went through, especially for bookings, applications or quote requests. A personal email from your own address also gives them something to reply to. This workflow sends that confirmation through Gmail for every FormDesigner submission.
The FormDesigner trigger fires when a submission is added for a form. The answers become values you can map. Gmail then runs Send Email from the account you connect, addressed to the email the respondent entered, with a subject and body you write. You can include their name or a copy of their answers in the text.
Every submission gets an email, so the form needs an email question for the step to send to. The message comes from your Gmail address, so replies land in your inbox. Task History lists each run, the address used and Gmail's response, which helps if someone says they never got it.
Quote request acknowledgement
A visitor asks for a quote through FormDesigner and gets an email from your Gmail address saying when to expect the figures.
Event registration confirmation
Each registrant receives the event date, location and a summary of what they signed up for, pulled from their own form answers.
Job application receipt
Applicants get a short email confirming the role they applied for, so they don't follow up to ask whether the form arrived.

What you need
- FlowMatticCore
- FormDesigner AccountAccount
- Gmail AccountAccount
After importing, map your own data. To keep the template universal, not every step is pre-filled. Open each step in the builder and connect your accounts and fields (channels, lists, sheets, recipients) before you switch the workflow on.
Make it yours
Changes worth making after you import it.
- Make the email question required in FormDesigner, so every submission has an address and the Gmail step has someone to send to.
- If one FormDesigner account holds several forms, add a Filter after the trigger that continues only for the form this confirmation is written for.
- Send a test submission to your own address after import, then read the email as a respondent would see it before you turn the workflow on.
Questions about this workflow
Does the FormDesigner confirmation come from my own Gmail address?
Yes. The Send Email step uses the Gmail account you connect, so the confirmation shows your address and replies go to your inbox.
What if a FormDesigner respondent mistypes their email?
Gmail tries to send to the address as typed. A bounce shows up in your Gmail inbox, and Task History shows which address the run used.
Can the Gmail confirmation include the person's answers?
Yes. Any answer from the submission can be inserted into the subject or message when you map the Gmail step.
