Log every new Polly response in a Google Sheets spreadsheet
Each new Polly response is written to a Google Sheets row as it is created, so your poll and survey answers build up in one spreadsheet you can chart, filter and share.

What this workflow does
Polly gathers quick polls and surveys, but the answers stay in Polly until someone exports them. If you want to chart results, compare rounds or share them with people outside the team, a spreadsheet is easier to work with. This workflow fills one as responses come in.
The Polly trigger, Response Created, fires when a response is created. FlowMattic passes that response to Google Sheets, and the Add New Row action writes it to the spreadsheet you pick. You choose which response details go into which columns after a test run captures them.
One response means one row. If someone edits their answer later, Polly treats that as a different event, so the original row stays as it was. Responses from before you turn the workflow on are not copied.
Weekly team pulse checks
Your team answers the same Polly question every Friday. The sheet collects each week's answers so you can chart the trend over a quarter.
Event feedback for organisers
Attendees rate a session in Polly, and the organisers review every rating in a shared sheet without needing a Polly login.
Product feedback for a planning meeting
Responses to a feature poll land in the sheet, ready to sort and paste into the agenda for the next planning session.
How this workflow runs
What happens at each step once the workflow is on, and what you need before you import it.
Polly Response CreatedFires when a new response is created in Polly. The response and its details become available for the Google Sheets step to map.
Google Sheets Add New RowWrites the Polly response into a new row of your chosen spreadsheet. Connect your Google account and match each column to a response detail captured in a test run.
What you need
- FlowMatticCore
- Polly AccountAccount
- Google Sheets AccountAccount
After importing, map your own data. To keep the template universal, not every step is pre-filled. Open each step in the builder and connect your accounts and fields (channels, lists, sheets, recipients) before you switch the workflow on.
Make it yours
Changes worth making after you import it.
- Add a Filter after the trigger if one sheet should hold answers to a single poll, using a poll or question field from a test run.
- Want edited answers tracked too? Build another workflow on Polly's Response Changed trigger that adds those to a second tab.
- Add a column for the date of each response in the sheet, so you can group answers by week or month.
Questions about this workflow
Does the sheet update when a Polly response is changed?
No. This workflow uses Response Created, so edits don't reach the sheet. Polly's Response Changed trigger can feed a separate workflow.
Will older Polly responses be added?
No. Only responses created after the workflow is turned on are written to the sheet.
Can I log several Polly polls in one spreadsheet?
Yes. Every new response adds a row, whichever poll it belongs to. Map a poll field to its own column if the test run shows one, so you can sort by poll.
What do I need to connect for Polly and Google Sheets?
Your Polly account for the trigger and a Google account that can edit the spreadsheet for the Add New Row step.
