Post a Slack message when a DailyBot form response is created
Each time a new DailyBot form response is created, this workflow posts a message to the Slack channel you choose, so your team sees the answers without opening DailyBot.

What this workflow does
DailyBot forms collect requests, feedback and reports from your team, but the answers are easy to miss if nobody checks the results. Posting each response to Slack puts it where people already talk about the work. This workflow does that for every new response.
The DailyBot trigger fires when a form response is created. FlowMattic takes the response data and hands it to Slack, where Send Channel Message posts to the channel you pick. You write the message and drop in the response fields you want shown, such as who answered and what they said.
Edits and deletions don't trigger this workflow; DailyBot has separate FlowMattic triggers for those. Each post is a new message, and Task History records every run along with Slack's response.
IT or ops request forms
Staff fill in a DailyBot request form, and each new request appears in your #it-requests channel where someone can pick it up.
Retro feedback in one place
Responses to a weekly retrospective form land in the team channel, so everyone reads the same input before the meeting.
Peer nominations
A DailyBot nomination form posts each entry to a recognition channel the moment it is submitted.
How this workflow runs
What happens at each step once the workflow is on, and what you need before you import it.
DailyBot Form Response CreatedRuns when a new form response is created in DailyBot. The response details are passed on so you can place them in the Slack message.
Slack Send Channel MessageSends a new message into the Slack channel you pick for DailyBot answers. Write the message text and map DailyBot response fields into it, then connect your Slack workspace.
What you need
- FlowMatticCore
- DailyBot AccountAccount
- Slack AccountAccount
After importing, map your own data. To keep the template universal, not every step is pre-filled. Open each step in the builder and connect your accounts and fields (channels, lists, sheets, recipients) before you switch the workflow on.
Make it yours
Changes worth making after you import it.
- To post to a private channel, switch the action to Slack's Send Private Channel Message. For a single person, use Send Direct Message instead.
- If several DailyBot forms exist, add a Filter after the trigger that continues only for the form you care about, using a form name or ID from a test response.
- Want a log too? Add a Google Sheets step after Slack to keep every DailyBot response in a spreadsheet.
Questions about this workflow
Does editing a DailyBot response post to Slack again?
No. This workflow uses Form Response Created. DailyBot's Form Response Updated trigger is separate, so edits only post if you build a workflow on that trigger.
Which DailyBot forms does this cover?
As imported there is no Filter, so every response the trigger fires for is posted. Add a Filter if you want only one form's responses in the Slack channel.
Can the Slack message show the actual answers?
Yes. Map the response fields from the DailyBot step into the message text. Send one test response first so the fields are available to pick.
