Send a Slack notification when an imeetify appointment is cancelled
When a client cancels an imeetify appointment, this workflow posts a message to the Slack channel you pick, so your team learns about the freed slot without checking the booking dashboard.

What this workflow does
A cancelled appointment changes someone's day. The consultant has an open hour, the front desk may want to offer it to a waiting client, and a manager may want to know why bookings drop. If the only record of the cancellation sits inside imeetify, nobody sees it until they go looking. With this workflow, every imeetify cancellation reaches your team where they already talk.
The imeetify trigger fires when an appointment is cancelled. FlowMattic takes the appointment data that imeetify sends and passes it to the Slack step, which posts a message to the channel you choose. You decide what the message says by mapping fields from the cancellation, such as the client name and the appointment time once a test run shows what imeetify sends, into the text.
A run starts on cancellations alone. New bookings are a separate imeetify event and post nothing here. Each run appears in Task History, so you can check what was posted and see the response Slack returned.
Front desk at a clinic or salon
Reception watches a #bookings channel. When an imeetify cancellation lands there, they can call someone from the waiting list to fill the opening.
Consultants sharing one booking page
A small coaching team posts every imeetify cancellation to a shared channel, so each coach sees which sessions came off the calendar that week.
Sales demo scheduling
When a prospect cancels a demo booked through imeetify, the sales channel gets a message and the rep can reach out to rebook.
How this workflow runs
What happens at each step once the workflow is on, and what you need before you import it.
imeetify Appointment CancellationStarts the workflow whenever an appointment booked through imeetify is cancelled. The appointment details imeetify sends become data you can map into the Slack message.
Slack Send Channel MessageSends the cancellation notice to one Slack channel. Connect your Slack workspace, pick the channel, and build the message text from the cancellation fields so the team knows which booking was dropped.
What you need
- FlowMatticCore
- imeetify AccountAccount
- Slack AccountAccount
After importing, map your own data. To keep the template universal, not every step is pre-filled. Open each step in the builder and connect your accounts and fields (channels, lists, sheets, recipients) before you switch the workflow on.
Make it yours
Changes worth making after you import it.
- Run a test cancellation in imeetify after import. FlowMattic captures the real fields it sends, and you can map them into the Slack message before you turn the workflow on.
- If a single coordinator should get the alert, replace this step with Slack's Send Direct Message action; a private channel needs the Send Private Channel Message action instead.
- Add a second workflow on imeetify's Appointment Confirmation trigger that posts to the same channel, so the team sees both new bookings and cancellations in one place.
Questions about this workflow
Will new imeetify bookings post to Slack too?
No. This template listens only for the Appointment Cancellation event. Confirmed bookings come from a different imeetify trigger, which you can add in a separate workflow.
Can the imeetify alert go to a private Slack channel?
As shipped, the step only reaches channels it can post to: Send Channel Message posts to a channel you pick in your connected workspace. For a private channel, switch the step to Slack's Send Private Channel Message action.
Does the workflow tell the client anything about the cancellation?
No. It only posts to Slack for your team. imeetify handles whatever it normally sends to the client, and the workflow does not change that.
What shows up in the Slack message?
Whatever you map. Add fields from the imeetify cancellation, such as the client name and appointment time, to the message text after a test run captures them.
