What this workflow does
Store owners who live in Telegram want to see each order the moment it's placed, without refreshing the WordPress dashboard. This workflow sends a confirmation message through your Telegram bot for every new FluentCart order, so you, your fulfilment team or a shared group know right away.
The FluentCart Order Created trigger fires when a new order is created. It passes the order's details, such as the order number, customer, items and total, on to Telegram. An order can be created before its payment completes; FluentCart also has an Order Paid trigger if you'd rather confirm paid orders only.
The Telegram Send a Text Message step sends the message from your bot, with support for markup. It ships unmapped: after import, connect your bot, enter the chat to send to and write the message with order fields mapped in.
Telegram bots can only message a person or group that has started a chat with the bot or added it, and a FluentCart order doesn't carry a Telegram chat ID. That makes this workflow best for confirmations sent to your own chat or a team group. Task History shows each order and Telegram's reply.
Order alerts on the owner's phone
A one-person shop gets a Telegram message for every FluentCart order, with the customer name and total, while away from the computer.
Fulfilment group that packs orders
A small warehouse team shares a Telegram group with the bot in it, and each new order's items appear there ready to pick and pack.
Quick sales check during a launch
A digital product seller watches orders arrive in a Telegram chat during a launch day, without logging in to the dashboard.
How this workflow runs
What happens at each step once the workflow is on, and what you need before you import it.
FluentCart Order CreatedFires when a new order is created in FluentCart. The order's number, customer details, items and total are available to map into the Telegram message.
Telegram Send a Text MessageSends a text message from your Telegram bot, with markup support. Nothing is mapped yet: connect the bot, set the chat that should receive it and write the confirmation with FluentCart order fields.
What you need
- FlowMatticCore
- FluentCart PluginPlugin
- Telegram AccountAccount
After importing, map your own data. To keep the template universal, not every step is pre-filled. Open each step in the builder and connect your accounts and fields (channels, lists, sheets, recipients) before you switch the workflow on.
Make it yours
Changes worth making after you import it.
- Switch the trigger to FluentCart's Order Paid event if you only want confirmations for orders whose payment has completed.
- Add the bot to a Telegram group and send the messages there, so everyone who handles orders sees them in one place.
- Use markup in the message to make the order number and total stand out, which keeps a busy chat easy to scan.
- Put a Filter between the FluentCart trigger and the Telegram step on the order total, if you only want alerts for larger orders. The threshold is yours to set.
Questions about this workflow
Can the Telegram confirmation go to the customer?
Only if that customer has started a chat with your bot and you have their chat ID. A FluentCart order doesn't include one, so this workflow suits messages to you or your team.
Does the message go out before the order is paid?
It can. Order Created fires when the order is created. For paid orders only, replace the trigger with FluentCart's Order Paid event.
Where do the FluentCart order messages get sent from?
From a Telegram bot of your own. Create one in Telegram first, then connect it in the Send a Text Message step after import.
Which FluentCart order details appear in the Telegram message?
The ones you map. The step ships empty, so write the text and add fields such as the order number, customer name and total.
