What this workflow does

In drop-ship retail, stock lives with your sellers, not in your warehouse. When a supplier changes a quantity in Convictional, your merchandising or ops team may want to know straight away, and a log of those changes helps when you look back at a stock-out. Here, one Convictional update feeds both the log and the alert.

The Convictional trigger fires when the inventory quantity of a product variant is updated by the seller. FlowMattic passes the variant's details on for mapping.

The Google Sheets step adds a new row for each change, so the sheet becomes a running history rather than a live stock list. Then the Slack step posts a message to the channel you choose. You set both up after import, since the template maps nothing: pick the spreadsheet and match variant details to columns, then choose the channel and write the alert.

Changes worth making after you import it.

To alert only on low stock, put a Filter between the Google Sheets step and the Slack step that continues when the quantity is less than your limit, such as 5. Every change is still logged. Note a blank quantity counts as 0 and passes.
If the trigger data has no time of the change, add Date/Time Formatter's Modify Current Date between the Convictional trigger and the Google Sheets step, and map its result into a date column.
Point the Slack step at Send Private Channel Message instead if inventory talk belongs in a private ops channel.

A history. Each inventory change adds a new row, so the same variant appears many times. Sort or filter by the variant to see its latest quantity.
