What this workflow does

Ninja Forms keeps submissions on your WordPress site, while your newsletters go out from Campaign Monitor. Moving people between the two by export and import leaves gaps of days or weeks, and new sign-ups miss the emails they asked for. This workflow sends each submission across as it happens.

The Ninja Forms trigger runs when a visitor submits one of your forms, and every field is available to map. The Campaign Monitor step then adds a new subscriber to the list you pick, using the email and name values you map from the form.

The trigger and the form live on your own site, and only the subscriber details are sent to Campaign Monitor. Each run appears in Task History, including Campaign Monitor's response, which is where you look if a subscriber didn't show up.

A two-field Ninja Forms form in your site footer asks for a name and email. Each sign-up joins the Campaign Monitor list your weekly newsletter goes to.

What happens when the address is already a Campaign Monitor subscriber?

The step uses Add Subscriber, described as adding a new subscriber to the list. Submit the form with an address that is already on the list and check Task History for Campaign Monitor's response.

Will past Ninja Forms entries be sent to Campaign Monitor?

No. The trigger reacts to new Ninja Forms submissions from the time the workflow is switched on. Entries already stored in Ninja Forms stay where they are.

Can I send Ninja Forms sign-ups to more than one Campaign Monitor list?

Yes. Add a second Add Subscriber step pointing at the other list. To pick one list per person from a form answer, put a Router before the Campaign Monitor step and give each route its own Add Subscriber step set to a different list.
