When a new submission received in Contact Form 7, check if the email is valid with Emailable and create a user in WordPress
Each Contact Form 7 submission has its email address checked by Emailable, and then FlowMattic creates a WordPress user account from the form details, with the check result there to filter on.

What this workflow does
Some sites use a Contact Form 7 form as a lightweight registration page: a member application, a client sign-up, a request for access. Turning those entries into WordPress accounts by hand is slow, and you also want to know whether the address works. This workflow checks the address with Emailable and then creates the user.
The Contact Form 7 trigger runs when a visitor submits the form. FlowMattic sends the email field to Emailable with its Verify Single Email action, and the result is available for the next step. The WordPress step then creates a new user on your site from the values you map, such as the email, a username and a name.
As shipped, the Emailable result doesn't decide anything. Every submission goes on to the WordPress step whether the address passed or not. To create accounts only for addresses that pass, add a Filter between Emailable and WordPress before you switch the workflow on.
Member applications on a club website
Applicants fill in a Contact Form 7 form. Each one gets a WordPress account, and once you add a Filter on the Emailable result, addresses that fail get none.
Client portal sign-ups
New clients request access through a form. The workflow creates their WordPress user so they can log in to the client area you've set up.
Checking the quality of registrations
Before filtering anything, run the workflow for a while and check the Emailable results in Task History to see how many sign-ups give a bad address.
How this workflow runs
What happens at each step once the workflow is on, and what you need before you import it.
Contact Form 7 New Form SubmissionStarts each time a visitor sends your Contact Form 7 form. The submitted fields, including the email address, are passed to the Emailable and WordPress steps.
Emailable Verify Single EmailChecks the submitted email address with Emailable's single-address verification. Map the form's email field here. The result is returned for mapping or filtering, but nothing acts on it as imported.
WordPress New UserCreates a new WordPress user on your site. Map the form's email and name fields, and decide how the username is built, then run a test submission to see what the step asks for.
What you need
- FlowMatticCore
- Contact Form 7 PluginPlugin
- Emailable AccountAccount
After importing, map your own data. To keep the template universal, not every step is pre-filled. Open each step in the builder and connect your accounts and fields (channels, lists, sheets, recipients) before you switch the workflow on.
Make it yours
Changes worth making after you import it.
- Place a Filter between Emailable and WordPress that continues only when Emailable's result shows a deliverable address. A test submission shows you the wording Emailable uses for that result.
- Make the email field required in your form with the email* tag so every submission gives Emailable an address to check and WordPress an address for the account.
- After a test submission, open the new account in WordPress and check the role it received, so a public form never creates accounts with editor or admin access.
Questions about this workflow
Will a Contact Form 7 entry with an invalid email still create a WordPress user?
Yes, as imported. The workflow has no Filter, so the WordPress step runs whatever Emailable reports. Add a Filter after the Emailable step to stop that.
What if a WordPress user with that email already exists?
WordPress doesn't allow two accounts with the same email, so the New User step won't create a second one. Look at the WordPress step in Task History to see what came back for that submission.
Whose Emailable account checks the Contact Form 7 addresses?
Yours. You connect your Emailable account in FlowMattic, and each submission sends one address to it for verification.
Are my Contact Form 7 notification emails affected?
No. The workflow reads each submission and leaves the form's mail settings alone, so your notifications arrive as before.
