When a response is updated in Formbricks, create a task in ClickUp
Whenever a response is updated in a Formbricks survey, this workflow creates a new ClickUp task built from that response, so changes to survey answers turn into work your team can assign and track.

What this workflow does
Survey answers sometimes change after the first submission, and those changes can matter: a customer adds detail to a complaint, or a respondent answers the questions they skipped. If nobody is watching Formbricks, the update goes unnoticed. This workflow turns each update into a task in ClickUp.
The Formbricks trigger fires when a response is updated within a survey. FlowMattic passes the response data to ClickUp, whose Create Task action adds a new task to the list you choose. Use the survey answers in the task name and description so whoever picks it up can see what changed.
Every update creates a fresh task. Nothing checks for a task made from an earlier update, so a response that is updated three times gives you three tasks. If you only want a task when someone first responds, or when they finish the survey, Formbricks has separate Response Created and Response Finished triggers you can swap in. You can follow every run, and what ClickUp sent back, in Task History.
Customer feedback that needs a reply
A customer edits their feedback survey to add a complaint. A ClickUp task appears in the support list with their answers, ready for someone to follow up.
Product research surveys
Testers come back and update their responses after trying a new feature. Each update becomes a task the product team reviews in ClickUp.
Internal requests through a survey
Staff use a Formbricks form to request IT help and later add details. Each update creates a task in the IT list so the new information isn't missed.
How this workflow runs
What happens at each step once the workflow is on, and what you need before you import it.
Formbricks Response UpdatedFires when a response to one of your Formbricks surveys is updated. The response data is passed on so the ClickUp step can use the answers.
ClickUp Create TaskCreates a new task in ClickUp from the response. Connect your ClickUp account, choose where the task goes, and map the survey answers into the task name and description.
What you need
- FlowMatticCore
- Formbricks AccountAccount
- ClickUp AccountAccount
After importing, map your own data. To keep the template universal, not every step is pre-filled. Open each step in the builder and connect your accounts and fields (channels, lists, sheets, recipients) before you switch the workflow on.
Make it yours
Changes worth making after you import it.
- Want one task per response instead of one per update? Swap the trigger for Formbricks Response Finished, which fires when a response is marked as finished.
- Add a Filter after the trigger that continues only when a particular answer matches, such as a rating below a set number, so only updates that need action create tasks.
- Update a test response after import so FlowMattic captures the Formbricks fields, then map them into the ClickUp task before you switch the workflow on.
Questions about this workflow
Will one Formbricks response create several ClickUp tasks?
It can. Each update to a response starts a new run, and the ClickUp step always creates a task. A Filter, or the Response Finished trigger, cuts this down.
Does a new Formbricks response create a task too?
Not with this trigger. It listens for updates only. Use Formbricks Response Created if you want a task for each new response.
Can the ClickUp task show which survey the response came from?
If the Formbricks data includes the survey's name or ID, you can map it into the task. Run a test update and check the captured fields.
Does the workflow change anything in Formbricks?
No. It only reads the updated response and creates the task in ClickUp. The response stays in Formbricks as it was.
