When form submitted in Zoho LandingPage, send instant confirmation email via Gmail and add to Mailchimp nurture sequence

When someone submits a Zoho LandingPage form, Gmail sends them a short confirmation right away and Mailchimp adds them to the audience that starts your nurture emails.

The When form submitted in Zoho LandingPage, send instant confirmation email via Gmail and add to Mailchimp nurture sequence workflow on the FlowMattic canvas, with 3 steps across Zoho Landing Page, Gmail, Mailchimp
The workflow as it appears in the builder after import. Each step opens for editing.

What this workflow does

People who fill in a landing page form want to know it worked, and you want them in your email programme before they forget about you. This workflow handles both moments: a confirmation from your own Gmail address straight after the form is sent, and a place on the Mailchimp audience that feeds your nurture sequence.

The Zoho LandingPage trigger fires when a new lead submits a form on your landing page and passes their answers on. The Gmail step already has a subject, "Thanks, we got your details", and a two-sentence thank-you message. You still map the lead's email address as the recipient after import, and you can rewrite the text in your own voice.

The Mailchimp Add New Member step adds the lead to the audience you pick, or updates them if they are already on it. It ships unmapped, so choose the audience and map the email and name from the form.

The nurture sequence itself lives in Mailchimp. Build it there as an automation that starts when someone joins the audience, then submit a test entry with your own address to check that the email arrives and the sequence begins. Every submission runs both steps, including repeat ones from the same person.

How this workflow runs

What happens at each step once the workflow is on, and what you need before you import it.

  1. Step 1Trigger
Zoho Landing Page New Form Submission

Fires each time a new lead submits a form on your Zoho LandingPage. The form fields, such as the lead's email and name, are passed on for the next two steps.

  2. Step 2Action
    Gmail Send Email

Sends a confirmation from your Gmail account with the subject and short thank-you message already written. Map the lead's email from the form as the recipient and edit the wording if you like.

  3. Step 3Action
    Mailchimp Add New Member

Adds the lead to the Mailchimp audience you choose, or updates the existing member with that email. Pick the audience and map the email and name fields after import.

What you need

  • FlowMatticCore
  • Zoho Landing Page AccountAccount
  • Gmail AccountAccount
  • Mailchimp AccountAccount

After importing, map your own data. To keep the template universal, not every step is pre-filled. Open each step in the builder and connect your accounts and fields (channels, lists, sheets, recipients) before you switch the workflow on.

Make it yours

Changes worth making after you import it.

  • Personalise the Gmail message by mapping the lead's first name from the form into the greeting.
  • Build the nurture sequence in Mailchimp as an automation that starts when someone joins the audience you picked in the Add New Member step.
  • Put a Filter between the Zoho LandingPage trigger and the Gmail step if only one of your landing pages should run this workflow, checking a field that tells the pages apart. Entries it stops get neither the email nor the Mailchimp signup.
  • Mention in the Gmail message what the lead should expect next, such as a first email from your Mailchimp sequence, so they look out for it.

Questions about this workflow

Who is the confirmation email sent from?

It goes out from whichever Gmail mailbox you link to the step. The lead sees your Gmail address as the sender, and replies go to that inbox.

What if the lead is already in my Mailchimp audience?

Add New Member adds the person, or updates them if they already exist on the list, so a repeat sign-up refreshes the existing member instead of creating a duplicate.

Does this workflow create the Mailchimp nurture sequence?

No. It adds the lead to an audience. The sequence of emails is an automation you build in Mailchimp, set to start when people join that audience.

Can I change the confirmation email's subject and text?

Yes. The subject and message are plain text in the Gmail step. Edit them after import and map any form field, such as the lead's name, into the message.

It's very straightforward, has a lot integrations and they work well. It is one thing to 'integrate' new external software, but integrating it well, with lots of options is where FlowMattic shines.
