What this workflow does
Wishlist Member can add people to a level in many ways: an admin assigns them, a registration form signs them up, or another system grants access. When that happens outside WooCommerce, your store's orders don't reflect the membership. This workflow creates a WooCommerce order each time a member joins a level.
The Wishlist Member trigger starts a run whenever someone joins one or more membership levels on your site. FlowMattic passes the member's details to WooCommerce, where Create New Order adds an order. You map the member's details and the product that stands for the level into the order.
Every level addition creates an order, whatever caused it. If members already join through a WooCommerce purchase, that purchase has its own order, and this workflow would add a second one. You can review every order the workflow made in Task History.
Manually granted memberships
When an admin adds a VIP to a level by hand, a matching WooCommerce order keeps the membership visible in store reports.
Free tier sign-ups
Members who join a free level get a zero-value WooCommerce order, so customer counts in WooCommerce include them.
Offline payments
A member pays by bank transfer and you add them to the level, and the workflow creates the store order for your records.
How this workflow runs
What happens at each step once the workflow is on, and what you need before you import it.
Wishlist Member Member Added to LevelFires when a member is added to one or more Wishlist Member levels on your site. The member's details are passed to WooCommerce.
WooCommerce Create New OrderCreates a new order in WooCommerce from the member's details. Map the email, name and the product that represents the level, then check the order a test assignment creates.
What you need
- FlowMatticCore
- Wishlist Member PluginPlugin
- WooCommerce PluginPlugin
After importing, map your own data. To keep the template universal, not every step is pre-filled. Open each step in the builder and connect your accounts and fields (channels, lists, sheets, recipients) before you switch the workflow on.
Make it yours
Changes worth making after you import it.
- Create a WooCommerce product for each membership level, and use a Router with one route per level so each creates an order for the right product.
- Add a Filter after the trigger that checks the level, so only levels granted outside your store create an order.
- Run a test level assignment and open the new order in WooCommerce to check its status and customer before you switch the workflow on.
Questions about this workflow
Will members who buy through WooCommerce get two orders?
They can. If a WooCommerce purchase adds them to the Wishlist Member level, that purchase already has an order, and this workflow adds another. Use a Filter to exclude those levels.
Does the WooCommerce order charge the member?
No. The workflow creates an order record in your store. It doesn't take a payment from the member.
Do Wishlist Member and WooCommerce need to be on the same site as FlowMattic?
Yes. Both are WordPress plugins, and the trigger and action work with the copies installed alongside FlowMattic.
