When new form submission is received in ARForms, create a new coupon in WooCommerce
Every ARForms submission creates a new WooCommerce coupon, so you can give people who fill in your form a discount code without opening the WooCommerce coupon screen yourself.

What this workflow does
Offering a discount in return for a sign-up is common, but making each coupon by hand doesn't scale past a handful of entries. This workflow creates the coupon for you as soon as someone submits your form, using the data they entered.
The ARForms trigger fires when a new submission is received. Each field the visitor filled in is passed to the next step. The WooCommerce step then creates a new coupon in your store. You decide what goes into it by mapping form data and fixed values, for example building the code from the visitor's name plus a word of your own. Run a test submission to see which coupon settings the step offers before you rely on it.
The template stops once the coupon exists. It does not send the code to anyone, so the visitor won't know about it unless you add a step that tells them. Every submission creates a coupon, including repeat entries from the same person. Task History shows each run, including any response WooCommerce returned for a code it could not create.
Discount in exchange for a newsletter sign-up
A visitor fills in an ARForms sign-up form and a coupon is created for them in WooCommerce, ready for you to send in a welcome email.
Personal codes after a feedback survey
Customers who complete your ARForms survey each get a coupon built from their details, so you can see in WooCommerce which survey takers came back to buy.
Event or trade-show entry forms
People who sign up at your stand on a tablet running an ARForms form get a store coupon created for them while the event is still on.
How this workflow runs
What happens at each step once the workflow is on, and what you need before you import it.
ARForms New Form SubmissionFires when a new ARForms submission is received on your WordPress site. Every answer in the form becomes data you can map into the coupon.
WooCommerce Create CouponCreates a new coupon in your WooCommerce store from the submission. Map form fields or fixed values into the coupon, and check a test run to confirm the result in WooCommerce.
What you need
- FlowMatticCore
- ARForms PluginPlugin
- WooCommerce PluginPlugin
After importing, map your own data. To keep the template universal, not every step is pre-filled. Open each step in the builder and connect your accounts and fields (channels, lists, sheets, recipients) before you switch the workflow on.
Make it yours
Changes worth making after you import it.
- Add an email step after the coupon step and map the visitor's email and the new code, so each person actually receives the discount you created for them.
- Make each code unique, for example by combining a fixed prefix with a form value such as the entry's email, so two submissions don't try to create the same code.
- Add a Filter after the trigger that continues only when a consent or opt-in field is ticked, so coupons go only to people who asked for offers.
Questions about this workflow
Does the visitor receive the WooCommerce coupon code?
Not as imported. The workflow creates the coupon and ends. Add an email or messaging step after it to send the code to the address from the ARForms submission.
What if the same person submits the ARForms form twice?
The workflow runs for each submission, so it tries to create a second coupon. If your code is built from the same values both times, WooCommerce may refuse the duplicate, and that run's WooCommerce step in Task History shows its reply.
Do ARForms and WooCommerce need to be on the same site as FlowMattic?
Yes. Both are WordPress plugins, and the trigger and the coupon step work with the copies installed on the site where FlowMattic runs.
