When new form submission is received in WSForms, add a new subscriber in Mailbluster
Every new WS Form submission on your WordPress site is sent to Mailbluster as a new lead, so sign-ups, enquiries and downloads grow the list you email from.

What this workflow does
Forms built with WS Form often collect exactly the people you want to email later: newsletter sign-ups, ebook downloads, enquiry forms with a consent box. Copying those entries into Mailbluster by hand means delays and missed addresses. This workflow adds each submitter to Mailbluster as a lead as soon as the form is sent.
The WSForms New Form Submission trigger fires when a new submission is received. Each field on the form becomes data you can pass on.
The Mailbluster Create a New Lead step then adds the person. The step ships unmapped, so after import you connect Mailbluster and map the form's email field, plus first and last name or any other fields you collect, into the lead.
Every submission of the form runs the workflow, including people who submit twice. How Mailbluster handles an email it already holds is up to Mailbluster, so submit a test with a known address and check Task History for the reply. If the form mixes marketing sign-ups with other requests, gate the Mailbluster step on a consent checkbox as described in the tips.
Newsletter sign-up form on a blog
A food blogger's WS Form newsletter box adds every subscriber to Mailbluster, where the weekly recipe email goes out.
Lead magnet downloads
A consultant offers a checklist through a WS Form, and each person who requests it becomes a Mailbluster lead for the follow-up emails.
Event interest list
A venue collects interest in upcoming concerts with a WS Form and emails the Mailbluster list when tickets go on sale.
How this workflow runs
What happens at each step once the workflow is on, and what you need before you import it.
WSForms New Form SubmissionFires when a new WS Form submission is received on your site. The submitted fields, such as email and name, are passed to Mailbluster.
Mailbluster Create a New LeadCreates a Mailbluster lead for the person who filled in the WS Form. Ships unmapped: connect Mailbluster and map the form's email field, plus the name or any other details you collect.
What you need
- FlowMatticCore
- WSForms PluginPlugin
- Mailbluster AccountAccount
After importing, map your own data. To keep the template universal, not every step is pre-filled. Open each step in the builder and connect your accounts and fields (channels, lists, sheets, recipients) before you switch the workflow on.
Make it yours
Changes worth making after you import it.
- Make the email field required in WS Form, since Mailbluster needs an address to create the lead.
- If the form has a marketing consent checkbox, put a Filter between the WS Form trigger and the Mailbluster step that continues only when it is ticked. The checkbox field is yours to pick.
- Use a separate copy of this workflow for each WS Form that should feed Mailbluster, so each form's leads can be mapped differently.
- Send a test submission with your own address first and confirm the lead appears in Mailbluster with the right name.
Questions about this workflow
Which WS Form fields reach Mailbluster?
Only the ones you map in the Create a New Lead step. Map the email at minimum, then any name fields you want stored on the lead.
What if the WS Form submitter is already in Mailbluster?
Mailbluster decides how to treat an address it already has. Submit the form with an existing lead's email and read the response in Task History before going live.
Does this workflow email the new Mailbluster lead?
No. It only creates the lead. Any welcome message or campaign comes from what you set up in Mailbluster itself.
