Save Typeform responses as items in a Notion database
Every new Typeform response is saved as a new item in a Notion database, so answers you collect for research, applications or feedback sit where your team already sorts, tags and discusses work.

What this workflow does
Typeform is good at collecting answers, but many teams review, tag and discuss them in Notion. Copying responses across one by one is slow, and exports quickly go stale. This workflow puts each response into a Notion database as soon as it is submitted.
The Typeform trigger fires on New Form Submission and makes every answer in the response available to FlowMattic. The second step uses Create Database Item in Notion to add one item per response.
This is a two-step template with no mapping filled in. After import, connect both accounts, submit a test response, and then map the answers you care about into the Notion item. That way the item matches the database you already use rather than a layout we picked for you. Only answers you map are sent to Notion, and every run shows in Task History.
User research interviews
Screener answers from Typeform arrive in a Notion research database, where the team marks who to invite and adds notes after each call.
Job or programme applications
Each application becomes a Notion item that reviewers can move through stages and comment on, without exporting responses from Typeform.
Customer feedback log
Feedback survey responses land in Notion next to your roadmap, so product decisions can link straight to what customers said.
How this workflow runs
What happens at each step once the workflow is on, and what you need before you import it.
Typeform New Form SubmissionRuns each time a response is submitted to your Typeform. Every answer in the response becomes available to map in the Notion step.
Notion Create Database ItemAdds a new item to your Notion database. The template ships unmapped, so submit a test response, then map the Typeform answers you want into the item and confirm the result in Notion.
What you need
- FlowMatticCore
- Typeform AccountAccount
- Notion AccountAccount
After importing, map your own data. To keep the template universal, not every step is pre-filled. Open each step in the builder and connect your accounts and fields (channels, lists, sheets, recipients) before you switch the workflow on.
Make it yours
Changes worth making after you import it.
- Set up your Notion database with the properties you want before mapping, so each Typeform answer has a matching place to go.
- Add a Filter after the trigger to save only some responses, for example when an applicant answers yes to a required question.
- Use a Router to send responses to different Notion databases by a multiple-choice answer, giving each route a condition on one distinct choice.
Questions about this workflow
Which Typeform answers are saved in Notion?
Only the ones you map. The Create Database Item step comes empty, so you decide which answers go into the item after a test response.
Will older Typeform responses be copied to Notion?
No. The trigger reacts to new submissions, so only responses received after you turn the workflow on create Notion items.
Does every Typeform response create a new Notion item, even from the same person?
Yes. Each submission is a separate run and adds a separate item. The workflow does not look for an existing item to update.
Does the response stay in Typeform?
Yes. The workflow reads the response and leaves it in Typeform as it was.
