Connect MoEngage and Google Sheets

MoEngage sends your push, email, SMS and in-app campaigns and records how users respond. FlowMattic receives MoEngage webhook events on your WordPress site and writes them into Google Sheets, so growth teams can check conversions, hand lists to sales or share campaign results with people who do not use MoEngage.

1. TriggerSetup Webhook
2. ActionAdd New Row

When MoEngage fires Setup Webhook, FlowMattic runs Add New Row in Google Sheets with the data from that event.

You build this in the FlowMattic workflow builder on your own site. See the setup steps

MoEngage and Google Sheets workflows you can build

Each one uses only triggers and actions the two integrations ship today, plus FlowMattic's own tools. Where the library has a ready-made template, import it instead of building from scratch.

Log new MoEngage engagement events to a sheet

Each event MoEngage sends becomes a row with the user, event name and time, giving you a raw log to filter, chart or hand to an analyst.

Write each event type to its own tab

A Router reads the event name and sends purchases, sign-ups and campaign clicks to separate tabs, so each report starts from a clean table.

Keep only conversion events for the revenue report

A Filter passes only the events that count as a conversion for you, such as a completed purchase, so the revenue tab is not drowned in impressions.

Keep one row per user with their latest event

Look up the user ID first. A Router updates the existing row with the latest event and date, and adds a row only for a user not seen before.

File events into a tab per day

Date/Time Formatter turns the event time into a date used as the sheet name, so daily campaign reviews open on a tab holding only that day.

Set up: engagement events as rows

At the end, each event MoEngage sends to your webhook is added to your Google Sheet as one row.

  1. Prepare the sheet

Add a header row such as User ID, Email, Event, Campaign, Channel and Time.

  2. Connect Google Sheets

Under Connects, add a Google Sheets connection with an account that can edit the spreadsheet.

  3. Start with Setup Webhook

Create a workflow with the MoEngage Setup Webhook trigger, add its URL in MoEngage for the events you want, then send a test event.

  4. Add New Row

Add Google Sheets Add New Row, map the event fields to your columns, test the step and switch the workflow on.

Triggers and actions in this pair

A trigger starts a workflow. An action is something FlowMattic does in the app as a step.

Good to know

  • One MoEngage trigger receives every event you point at the webhook. Fields differ between events, so map from a test of each event type you plan to log.
  • High-volume events such as impressions can fill a sheet fast. Send only the events you will report on, or Filter them in the workflow.
  • Store the MoEngage user ID in every row so later events can find and update that user's row.

Why run this pair with FlowMattic

MoEngage and Google Sheets connect through FlowMattic on your own site, with no separate automation account in the middle and no charge per run.

User data passes through your server

Event and user details go from MoEngage through your own WordPress site into the sheet, not through another company's automation account.

Event volume does not change the price

Runs are unlimited, so logging every conversion from a large campaign costs the same as logging a small test send.

Results for people outside MoEngage

Finance, sales and leadership open a shared sheet of results without each needing access to the MoEngage dashboard.

Common questions

How do MoEngage events reach Google Sheets?

Through a webhook. The Setup Webhook trigger gives you a URL to add in MoEngage. Each event sent there runs the workflow, and Add New Row writes it to the sheet.

Can I log only some MoEngage events?

Yes. Send only the events you need to the webhook, or add a Filter after the trigger that checks the event name before the row is written.

Can one row per user stay up to date?

Yes. Search the user ID column with Lookup Row Data, then use a Router to run Update Row for a known user and Add New Row for a new one.

Will the sheet get too big?

It can if every event is logged. Filter to the events you report on, split them by day or type, and use Export sheet to CSV to archive older data to the WordPress Media Library.
