Connect Insites and Google Sheets

Insites turns a prospect's website into an audit report, and the people who request those audits are your next clients. FlowMattic writes each lead generation submission and each completed analysis into Google Sheets, so account managers can see who asked for a report, which business it covers and who is following up.

When Insites fires Lead Generation Details Submitted, FlowMattic runs Add New Row in Google Sheets with the data from that event.

Each one uses only triggers and actions the two integrations ship today, plus FlowMattic's own tools. Where the library has a ready-made template, import it instead of building from scratch.

Add each lead generation submission as a row

Every prospect who fills in your Insites audit form lands in one sheet, so the agency's new business list is shared instead of sitting in a single login.

Keep a register of every completed analysis

Analyses your team runs by hand also count. Each finished report gets a row on an Analyses tab, so you can see how many audits went out this month and for which businesses.

Mark the prospect's row once their report is ready

Look up the business website in the leads tab when an analysis completes, then fill in a Report ready column so the person calling knows the audit can be discussed.

Send each lead to the tab of the person who owns that region

A Router checks the country or city the prospect gave and writes the lead to that sales owner's tab, so nobody has to sort the list each morning.

Skip test submissions before they reach the sheet

When you try your own audit widget, those entries should not count as leads. A Filter stops submissions from your own email domain and logs the rest.

Write a short opening line for each prospect

An AI Agent step reads the business name and website and drafts a one-line opener for the first call, saved in its own column next to the lead.

Set up: each audit lead as a row

At the end, every lead generation submission from Insites is written to your Google Sheet as one row.

  1. Add the header row

Create a sheet with columns such as Business, Website, Contact, Email, Phone and Submitted, so there is a place for every field.

  2. Connect Google Sheets

In FlowMattic, open Connects and add a Google Sheets connection with an account that can edit that spreadsheet.

  3. Start with Lead Generation Details Submitted

Create a workflow with the Insites trigger, follow its setup instructions, then submit your own audit form once so FlowMattic captures sample data.

  4. Map the lead to Add New Row

Add a Google Sheets step with Add New Row, choose the sheet, map each field to its column, test the step and switch the workflow on.

Triggers and actions in this pair

A trigger starts a workflow. An action is something FlowMattic does in the app as a step.

Good to know

  • The fields depend on what your Insites lead generation form asks for, so treat the mapping above as an example and check the captured test data.
  • These workflows run from Insites into the sheet. Editing a row in Google Sheets does not change anything in Insites.
  • A prospect who requests two audits creates two rows. Search the website column with Lookup Row Data first if you want one row per business.

Triggers (2)

  • Lead Generation Details SubmittedTriggers when lead generation audit completes.

Why run this pair with FlowMattic

Insites and Google Sheets connect through FlowMattic on your own site, with no separate automation account in the middle and no charge per run.

Prospect details stay on your server

Contact details from audit requests pass through your own WordPress site on the way to the sheet, not through a third party's automation account.

Every audit costs the same

Runs are unlimited on every plan, so an audit widget that brings in hundreds of requests a month needs no bigger plan than one that brings in five.

One list for the whole agency

Leads and finished analyses sit side by side in a sheet everyone can open, filter and comment on, without each person needing an Insites seat.

Common questions

Which Insites events can start a workflow?

Two: Lead Generation Details Submitted, when someone completes your lead generation audit, and New Analysis Completed, when an analysis finishes. Each can start its own workflow and write to its own tab.

Can I see in the sheet when a prospect's report is done?

Yes. Use New Analysis Completed to look up the prospect's row by website with Lookup Row Data, then Update Row to fill in a status or date column.

Can each salesperson get their own list?

Yes. Put a Router after the trigger with one path per region, service or owner. Each path writes the lead with Add New Row to a different tab or spreadsheet.

Do I need a paid Google account?

No. Any Google account that can edit the spreadsheet works, including a free Gmail account, so the sheet can stay shared with the people who already use it.

Can the lead also go to my CRM?

Yes. After the Add New Row step, add a step for any other app you have connected in FlowMattic, so the same lead is logged and sent on in one run.
