Add a Monday.com item for every new Givecloud contribution
Each time Givecloud processes a contribution payment, FlowMattic creates a new item on a Monday.com board, so your team can follow up on gifts from the same board they plan their work on.

What this workflow does
Donations arrive in Givecloud, but the work they create, such as thank-you calls, receipts and stewardship tasks, is often planned in Monday.com. Copying each gift onto a board by hand is slow and easy to forget on a busy giving day. This workflow puts every paid contribution on your board as it happens.
The Givecloud trigger Contribution Paid fires when Givecloud processes a contribution payment. FlowMattic takes the contribution data from that event and passes it to Monday.com, where the Create Item action adds a new item to the board you choose.
You decide what the item looks like. Map the supporter's name into the item name, for example, and the amount or date into other columns your board has. Every processed payment creates its own item, so a supporter who gives twice appears twice. Task History logs each run if you need to check what reached the board.
Thank-you call list
Each paid gift becomes an item on a stewardship board, where a volunteer assigns themselves, makes the call and moves the item to Done.
Giving day tracking
During a campaign, the development team watches contributions land on a Monday.com board in real time and groups them by status as receipts go out.
Major gift follow-up
Every contribution reaches the board, and your gift officer sorts by amount to spot the larger ones that need a personal letter from the director.
How this workflow runs
What happens at each step once the workflow is on, and what you need before you import it.

What you need
- FlowMatticCore
- Givecloud AccountAccount
- Monday.com AccountAccount
After importing, map your own data. To keep the template universal, not every step is pre-filled. Open each step in the builder and connect your accounts and fields (channels, lists, sheets, recipients) before you switch the workflow on.
Make it yours
Changes worth making after you import it.
- Make a test donation in Givecloud after import so FlowMattic captures a real contribution. Map from that sample rather than guessing which fields Givecloud sends.
- Givecloud also has a Contributions Paid trigger covering one-time and recurring transactions. Check which one matches how your donors give before turning the workflow on.
- Only want larger gifts on the board? Add a Filter after the trigger with a greater-than condition on the amount. It compares whole numbers, so 99.50 counts as 99.
Questions about this workflow
Does each Givecloud contribution create a separate Monday.com item?
Yes. The workflow runs once per processed contribution and the Create Item step adds a new item every time. It does not look for an existing item for the same supporter.
Can I choose where on Monday.com the Givecloud gifts land?
Yes. You pick the target board in the Create Item step after import. It can be a board you already use, so set up the columns you want first and then map Givecloud data into them.
Are past Givecloud donations added to the board?
No. The trigger fires for contributions processed after the workflow is on. Earlier gifts would need to be added to the board another way.
Can I also notify someone when a gift arrives?
Yes. Add another action after the Monday.com step, such as an email or a chat message, and map the same Givecloud data into it.
