What this workflow does
In vPlan, attaching a resource to a card is the moment work gets assigned: a person, a machine or a crew is now booked on that job. The people involved may not open vPlan often, though, and a booking they don't see is easy to miss. This workflow turns each new assignment into a Todoist task.
The vPlan Card Resource Attached trigger fires when a resource is attached to a card. The data vPlan sends about the card and the resource is passed to Todoist, where the Create Task action adds a task in the Todoist account you connect. You build the task text from vPlan values, such as the card name and the resource that was booked.
Each attachment vPlan reports starts its own run, so attaching three resources one after another gives three tasks. Removing a resource from the card doesn't remove the task. You can trace every booking-to-task run in Task History.
Personal to-dos for booked technicians
A planner attaches a technician to a service card in vPlan, and a Todoist task with the job name appears in the account you connect for that technician.
Equipment preparation reminders
When a machine or vehicle is attached to a card, the workshop gets a Todoist task to prepare it for the job.

Does detaching a resource in vPlan delete the Todoist task?
No. This workflow only reacts to attachments. vPlan has a separate Card Resource Detached trigger you could use in another workflow, which would also need the Todoist task ID to remove it.
Whose Todoist account gets the task for a vPlan booking?
The Todoist account you connect in the Create Task step. To send bookings to different people, use a Filter or Router per resource with a step connected to each person's account.
Will a vPlan card with several resources create several Todoist tasks?
Each attachment vPlan reports starts one run and one task. If you attach several resources in one action, run a test to see how vPlan reports them before relying on one task per resource.
Are resources attached before import turned into tasks?
No. Only attachments made after you switch the workflow on reach Todoist. Earlier bookings stay in vPlan as they are.
