Add a Trello-style ClickUp task when a Good Grants application is moderated
When a Good Grants application is moderated, this workflow creates a ClickUp task for it, so the next stage of review sits on your team’s board as a card.

What this workflow does
Grant programmes move applications through several hands. Once an application has been moderated in Good Grants, someone usually needs to pick it up next, and that hand-off is easy to lose in email. This workflow puts each moderated application into ClickUp as a task.
The Good Grants trigger fires when an application is moderated. The application's details are passed to ClickUp, where Create Task adds a new task. You choose what the task contains, for example the applicant's name and the application title in the task name.
If you view that ClickUp list as a Board, each task shows up as a card you can drag between columns, which is the Trello-style layout the title refers to. The view is a ClickUp setting, not something the workflow changes. Every moderated application makes one task, and Task History records each run.
Hand-off to the scoring panel
After moderation, each application appears as a ClickUp task that the scoring panel works through on a board, from To do to Scored.
Eligibility follow-up
Moderators flag applications that need missing documents. The ClickUp task gives the programme officer a place to track the request.
Small foundation with one coordinator
A single coordinator manages the round from ClickUp. Every moderated application lands in their list without logging in to Good Grants to check.
How this workflow runs
What happens at each step once the workflow is on, and what you need before you import it.
Good Grants Application ModeratedFires when an application is moderated in Good Grants. The application's details are passed to the ClickUp step for mapping.
ClickUp Create TaskCreates a new task in ClickUp for the moderated application. Map details such as the applicant and application title into the task, and confirm where it lands with a test run.
What you need
- FlowMatticCore
- Good Grants AccountAccount
- ClickUp AccountAccount
After importing, map your own data. To keep the template universal, not every step is pre-filled. Open each step in the builder and connect your accounts and fields (channels, lists, sheets, recipients) before you switch the workflow on.
Make it yours
Changes worth making after you import it.
- Put a link or reference to the Good Grants application in the task description so reviewers can open the full entry.
- If only some moderation outcomes need a task, add a Filter after the trigger that checks the outcome field Good Grants sends.
- Use a Router to send applications from different categories to different ClickUp lists, giving each route a condition on a distinct category value.
Questions about this workflow
Does every moderated Good Grants application create a ClickUp task?
Yes, as imported. Each Application Moderated event runs the workflow once. Add a Filter if you only want tasks for certain outcomes.
Will the ClickUp task update if the application changes later?
No. The workflow creates the task once, at moderation. Later changes in Good Grants are not copied to it.
What makes the task Trello-style?
Only the ClickUp view. Open the list in Board view and each task appears as a card. The workflow itself just creates a task.
