Add each new CalendarFix booking confirmation to Google Calendar

Whenever a CalendarFix booking is confirmed, this workflow creates a matching event in Google Calendar, so confirmed appointments show up in the calendar you already plan your day from.

The Add each new CalendarFix booking confirmation to Google Calendar workflow on the FlowMattic canvas, with 2 steps across CalendarFix, Google Calendar
The workflow as it appears in the builder after import. Each step opens for editing.

What this workflow does

If you take bookings in CalendarFix but run your day from Google Calendar, every confirmed appointment has to be copied across. Miss one and you can end up double-booked or late. This workflow adds each confirmed CalendarFix booking to Google Calendar for you.

The CalendarFix trigger fires when a new booking is confirmed. FlowMattic receives the booking details CalendarFix sends. The Google Calendar step then uses Create Detailed Event to add a new event to the calendar you pick, with the booking details mapped into it.

Only confirmed bookings reach your calendar. A booking that is never confirmed doesn't fire the trigger, so it creates no event. The workflow only creates events, so a later change or cancellation in CalendarFix isn't copied to Google Calendar. Task History shows each run, which helps you check the date and time mapping during your first few bookings.

Consultant with one working calendar

A consultant takes client sessions through CalendarFix and keeps everything else in Google Calendar. Each confirmed session appears beside their other commitments.

Shared team calendar for a studio

A photography studio sends confirmed CalendarFix shoots to a shared Google Calendar, so every photographer sees the week's bookings in one place.

Phone reminders for a tutor

A tutor confirms lessons in CalendarFix. With each one in Google Calendar, the calendar app on their phone shows the lesson alongside the rest of the day.

How this workflow runs

What happens at each step once the workflow is on, and what you need before you import it.

  1. Step 1Trigger
    CalendarFix New Booking Confirmation

Fires when a new CalendarFix booking is confirmed. The booking details become available to map into the Google Calendar event.

  2. Step 2Action
    Google Calendar Create Detailed Event

Creates a new event in the Google Calendar you choose. Map the booking's date, time and details into the event, then check a test run to confirm the event lands at the right time.

What you need

  • FlowMatticCore
  • CalendarFix AccountAccount
  • Google Calendar AccountAccount

After importing, map your own data. To keep the template universal, not every step is pre-filled. Open each step in the builder and connect your accounts and fields (channels, lists, sheets, recipients) before you switch the workflow on.

Make it yours

Changes worth making after you import it.

  • If the CalendarFix booking data includes the client's name, put it in the event title, so you can tell appointments apart in Google Calendar without opening each one.
  • Send the events to a separate Google Calendar used only for CalendarFix bookings. You can show or hide it, and share it with your team without exposing your personal calendar.
  • Confirm one test booking in CalendarFix after import so FlowMattic captures the trigger data, then finish the event mapping before you turn the workflow on.

Questions about this workflow

Does a cancelled CalendarFix booking remove the Google Calendar event?

No. The template only reacts to confirmed bookings and only creates events. Delete the event by hand when a booking is cancelled.

What if the CalendarFix time shows up wrong in Google Calendar?

Check the time zone on both sides. Look at how the trigger returns the booking time in a test run, and make sure the Google Calendar step reads it the way you expect.

Are unconfirmed CalendarFix bookings added to my calendar?

No. The trigger fires when a booking is confirmed, so pending requests stay out of Google Calendar until they are confirmed.

Will existing CalendarFix bookings be copied over?

No. Only bookings confirmed after you turn the workflow on create events. Add earlier ones by hand.

An excellent replacement to Zapier with unlimited tasks and full control over data. Customer service is fantastic! Have had hands-on support from owner who is ultra helpful and they have even been integrating new SAAS options continuously.

It's an exceptional product. Works great and extremely valuable. I saved thousands of dollard on Zapier, as Flowmattic makes me able to host the automation myself. And very deeply integrates with the products I need.
