Create a ClickUp task for manual review when an IdentityCheck response is complete

When a person completes an IdentityCheck post-verification form, FlowMattic creates a ClickUp task so someone on your team reviews the response by hand and records the outcome.

The Create a ClickUp task for manual review when an IdentityCheck response is complete workflow on the FlowMattic canvas, with 2 steps across IdentityCheck, ClickUp
The workflow as it appears in the builder after import. Each step opens for editing.

What this workflow does

Identity checks are only part of onboarding. Someone still has to read what the person submitted, compare it with your records and decide what happens next. If those responses only live in IdentityCheck, a reviewer has to remember to look. This workflow puts each completed response on your team's ClickUp list as a task to review.

The IdentityCheck trigger, Response Complete, fires when a post-verification form is completed. FlowMattic receives the response data and lets you map it. The ClickUp step runs Create Task and adds a new task built from those values, ready for a reviewer to pick up.

Every completed response becomes a task, since the template has no condition between the two steps. If you only want tasks for some responses, add a Filter after the trigger. Response Complete is about the form, not the KYC result; IdentityCheck has a separate Verification Decision trigger for that. Each run, and the task ClickUp returned, appears in Task History.

Compliance team reviewing new clients

A financial adviser's compliance officer works from a ClickUp list. Each completed IdentityCheck form appears there as a task to review before the client is accepted.

Rental agency checking tenants

Prospective tenants complete IdentityCheck before signing. The letting team gets a ClickUp task for each one and ticks it off once the file is checked.

Marketplace vetting new sellers

New sellers complete the verification form. A review task in ClickUp makes sure a person looks over every response before the seller account goes live.

How this workflow runs

What happens at each step once the workflow is on, and what you need before you import it.

  1. Step 1Trigger
    IdentityCheck Response Complete

Fires when a post-verification form is completed in IdentityCheck. Complete a test response after connecting so FlowMattic captures the fields you can map.

  2. Step 2Action
    ClickUp Create Task

Creates a new ClickUp task from the response. Connect your ClickUp account, put the person's name and response details into the task, and check a test run to see where the task lands.

What you need

  • FlowMatticCore
  • IdentityCheck AccountAccount
  • ClickUp AccountAccount

After importing, map your own data. To keep the template universal, not every step is pre-filled. Open each step in the builder and connect your accounts and fields (channels, lists, sheets, recipients) before you switch the workflow on.

Make it yours

Changes worth making after you import it.

  • Add a Filter after the trigger that continues only for responses needing a closer look, based on a field you see in a test run, so routine ones don't fill the list.
  • Put the person's name and the date in the task title, so reviewers can find a case in ClickUp without opening each task.
  • Build a second workflow on IdentityCheck's Verification Decision trigger if you also want KYC results logged, for example as rows in Google Sheets.

Questions about this workflow

Does every completed IdentityCheck response create a ClickUp task?

Yes, as imported. Nothing checks the response first, so add a Filter after the trigger if only some responses need manual review.

Is Response Complete the same as the IdentityCheck verification result?

No. It fires when the post-verification form is completed. IdentityCheck's Verification Decision trigger is the one that fires when KYC results are sent.

What IdentityCheck details can go into the ClickUp task?

Whatever the Response Complete trigger returns. Run a test response, then map the captured values into the task. Think about which personal details your reviewers really need.

Will a second response from the same person create another task?

Yes. Create Task adds a task on every run and doesn't search for an existing one, so each completed response gets its own task.

It's an exceptional product. Works great and extremely valuable. I saved thousands of dollard on Zapier, as Flowmattic makes me able to host the automation myself. And very deeply integrates with the products I need.

Tijn

Ease of use and terrific support from the founder. Tons of integrations and regular updates. The Flowmattic custom app is great especially if you want to integrate apps that aren't available yet inside Flowmattic.
