When a client is assigned to an agent in JivoChat, create a follow-up task in ClickUp
When JivoChat assigns a client to an agent, FlowMattic creates a ClickUp task for the follow-up, with the client’s details and the agent in it, in the list you choose.

What this workflow does
Once JivoChat routes a visitor to one of your agents, there is usually something to do after the conversation, like preparing a quote or ringing the client back. If that job lives only in the agent's memory, it slips. This workflow turns each client assignment in JivoChat into a ClickUp task, so the follow-up sits in the same task lists your team already works from.
The JivoChat trigger fires when a client is assigned to an agent, and passes on the client's details and the agent involved. Each assignment JivoChat reports starts its own run and creates one task.
The ClickUp step adds one new task per assignment. It arrives unmapped: after import you connect ClickUp, pick the workspace and list, and map the JivoChat data into the task, for example the client's name and contact details in the title and description, and the agent's name so the task shows who owns it.
Run a test by assigning a chat in JivoChat. Task History shows the fields JivoChat sent and the task ClickUp created, which helps you decide what belongs in the title and what goes in the description.
Sales callbacks after a chat
A furniture store's agents take pricing questions in JivoChat, and each assigned client becomes a ClickUp task in the sales list so the quote goes out.
Support cases that need more work
A hosting company's agent is assigned a client with a migration question, and the ClickUp task gives the tech team a place to track it to the end.
Agent workload at a glance
A team lead filters the ClickUp list by the agent named in each task to see how many open follow-ups every person has.

What you need
- FlowMatticCore
- JivoChat AccountAccount
- ClickUp AccountAccount
After importing, map your own data. To keep the template universal, not every step is pre-filled. Open each step in the builder and connect your accounts and fields (channels, lists, sheets, recipients) before you switch the workflow on.
Make it yours
Changes worth making after you import it.
- Put the client's name and the agent's name in the ClickUp task title, so the list shows who needs a follow-up and who owns it.
- If each agent has a ClickUp account, map the agent into the task's assignee where the step offers it, and check the result in a test run.
- Not every assignment needs a task? Put a Filter between the JivoChat trigger and the ClickUp step that continues only when the client left an email or phone number.
Questions about this workflow
Does every JivoChat assignment create a ClickUp task?
Yes, as imported. Each time a client is assigned to an agent, a run starts and one task is created. Add a Filter between the trigger and the ClickUp step to narrow it.
Which ClickUp list do the JivoChat tasks go to?
Whichever list you select in Create Task once the template is imported. The workspace, list and task fields are all left for you to set.
What if a client is reassigned to another agent?
FlowMattic describes the trigger as firing when a new client is assigned to an agent. Whether a reassignment fires it again is up to what JivoChat sends, so reassign a test chat and check Task History for a second run.
Is the chat transcript added to the ClickUp task?
Only if JivoChat includes it in the assignment data and you map it. Check a test run to see what JivoChat sends; the client's details are the usual starting point for the task.
