When a new conversation is created in ThriveDesk, check if the email is valid with VerifyBee, and add new member to list in Mailchimp
When a new ThriveDesk conversation is created, this workflow sends the customer’s email address to VerifyBee for a check, then adds that person to Mailchimp as a new member with the result available to map.

What this workflow does
People who write to your support desk are often customers or prospects you would like on your mailing list. Copying their addresses from ThriveDesk into Mailchimp by hand is slow, and a mistyped address only shows up later as a bounce. This workflow passes each new conversation's email address through a verification step on its way into Mailchimp.
The ThriveDesk trigger runs when a new conversation is created. FlowMattic sends the email address from that conversation to VerifyBee with the Verify Email action, and VerifyBee's response becomes data you can use in the next step. The last step, Add New Member in Mailchimp, adds the person to your audience using the details you map.
As imported, nothing checks the VerifyBee result before Mailchimp. Every conversation's contact is added, whether the address passed or failed. If you want only verified addresses in Mailchimp, add a Filter between the two actions. Keep in mind that writing to support is not the same as agreeing to marketing email, so check your consent rules before you turn this on.
Pre-sales questions from prospects
Visitors ask about pricing or features through ThriveDesk. Each one is verified and added to a Mailchimp audience you use for product news, if your consent rules allow it.
Customer list for service updates
You keep a Mailchimp audience for maintenance notices and changelogs. Everyone who opens a support conversation is added to it, with the VerifyBee result to hand.
Spotting fake support contacts
Map the VerifyBee result into a Mailchimp field or tag, and you can see which support contacts gave addresses that failed the check.
How this workflow runs
What happens at each step once the workflow is on, and what you need before you import it.
ThriveDesk New Conversation CreatedStarts the run each time a customer opens a new ThriveDesk conversation. Its data, including the customer's email address, is passed on for the next two steps.
VerifyBee Verify EmailSends the email address from the ThriveDesk conversation to VerifyBee to check it. Map the email value here and connect your VerifyBee account. The response is then available to the Mailchimp step.
Mailchimp Add New MemberAdds the person to Mailchimp as a new member using the details you map, such as the email address from ThriveDesk. Connect your Mailchimp account and run a test to confirm where the member lands.
What you need
- FlowMatticCore
- ThriveDesk AccountAccount
- VerifyBee AccountAccount
- Mailchimp AccountAccount
After importing, map your own data. To keep the template universal, not every step is pre-filled. Open each step in the builder and connect your accounts and fields (channels, lists, sheets, recipients) before you switch the workflow on.
Make it yours
Changes worth making after you import it.
- Add a Filter between VerifyBee and Mailchimp that continues only when the VerifyBee result shows a valid address. Run a test first to see the exact value VerifyBee returns.
- Run one test with a real support conversation after import, so the ThriveDesk and VerifyBee data is captured and ready to map in the Mailchimp step.
- If you only want people who say yes to updates, ask in your support flow and add a second Filter condition on that answer before the Mailchimp step.
Questions about this workflow
Are addresses that fail VerifyBee still added to Mailchimp?
Yes, as imported. The workflow has no condition between the two actions. Add a Filter after the VerifyBee step to stop failed addresses from reaching Mailchimp.
What if the ThriveDesk customer is already a Mailchimp member?
Add New Member handles both cases: a ThriveDesk contact who is already in the audience is updated with the details you map, not added a second time.
Do I need accounts for ThriveDesk, VerifyBee and Mailchimp?
Yes. Each step connects to its own account when you import the workflow. VerifyBee checks run through your VerifyBee account.
Does every new ThriveDesk conversation run the workflow?
Yes. There is no condition after the trigger, so each new conversation starts a run. Add a Filter after the trigger if you want to limit it.
