What this workflow does
Sign-up forms often need to do two jobs: give the person an account on your site and add them to your email list. Doing both by hand after each submission is slow. This workflow handles both from one Forminator form.
The Forminator trigger fires when a form is submitted on your WordPress site. The submitted fields are passed on. The WordPress step creates a new user from the details you map, such as the email address and name. The Mailchimp step then adds the same person to the audience you choose.
The two actions run one after the other for each submission. If the email already belongs to a WordPress user, the step doesn't create a second account and returns that user's ID instead. You can check what WordPress and Mailchimp each returned in Task History.

Does every Forminator form create a WordPress user?
Yes, as imported, every submission starts a run. To limit it to your sign-up form, add a Filter between the Forminator trigger and the WordPress step.
What if the email already has a WordPress account?
WordPress won't make a second account for it. The New User step reports the existing user's ID, which Task History shows, and Mailchimp's Add New Member adds the address to your audience or updates the member already there.
Which Mailchimp audience are Forminator sign-ups added to?
Whichever audience you select when you set up the Add New Member step. All Forminator sign-ups go to that one audience.
Do I need anything besides Forminator and FlowMattic on the site?
