Groove Sales FluentCRM

2 steps Setup ~5 min Used on 389 sites Free to import

The When a product purchase is completed in Groove Sales, create a new contact in FluentCRM workflow on the FlowMattic canvas, with 2 steps across Groove Sales, FluentCRM
The workflow as it appears in the builder after import. Each step opens for editing.

What this workflow does

Selling through Groove Sales gets you buyers, but your email marketing may run in FluentCRM on your WordPress site. Getting buyers from one to the other usually means exports and imports. This workflow creates a FluentCRM contact when a purchase comes through.

The Groove Sales trigger starts a run for each completed Groove Sales order. FlowMattic receives the purchase data and passes the buyer's details to FluentCRM, where Create Contact adds a new contact from the values you map, such as email and name.

The trigger reacts to every purchase, so a repeat buyer starts the workflow again. Create Contact is the create-only action, so FluentCRM may not accept an email it already holds. For each run, the response FluentCRM gave is listed in Task History. If you'd rather update returning buyers, swap in FluentCRM's Create or Update Contact action.

Course buyers ready for onboarding emails

A buyer purchases your course on Groove Sales. They appear in FluentCRM, where you can send welcome and how-to emails from your site.

Customer list for product updates

Everyone who buys a digital product through Groove Sales becomes a FluentCRM contact, ready for the email when you release a new version.

Tagging buyers by product

Add a FluentCRM tag step after this one, and buyers of each Groove Sales product can be segmented for offers that fit what they bought.

How this workflow runs

What happens at each step once the workflow is on, and what you need before you import it.

  1. Step 1Trigger
    Groove Sales Product Purchased

Runs each time a buyer completes a Groove Sales purchase. The purchase and buyer details are passed on so you can map them into FluentCRM.

  2. Step 2Action
    FluentCRM Create Contact

Creates a new contact in FluentCRM. Map the buyer's email address from the Groove Sales purchase, plus their name and any other values you want stored.

What you need

  • FlowMatticCore
  • Groove Sales AccountAccount
  • FluentCRM PluginPlugin

After importing, map your own data. To keep the template universal, not every step is pre-filled. Open each step in the builder and connect your accounts and fields (channels, lists, sheets, recipients) before you switch the workflow on.

Make it yours

Changes worth making after you import it.

  • Replace Create Contact with FluentCRM's Create or Update Contact if you expect repeat buyers. It matches by email and updates the existing contact instead.
  • Add FluentCRM's Add Tags to Contact step after this one to tag buyers with the product they bought, using the product name if the purchase data includes it.
  • Make a test purchase in Groove Sales after import so you can see the buyer data FlowMattic receives before mapping the FluentCRM step.

Questions about this workflow

What happens when someone buys from Groove Sales a second time?

The workflow runs again. Create Contact only creates, so FluentCRM may refuse the email it already has, and Task History shows that run's result. Switch to Create or Update Contact to update returning buyers instead.

Does FluentCRM need to be on the same site as FlowMattic for Groove Sales buyers?

Yes. FluentCRM is a WordPress plugin, so contacts are created on the WordPress site where FlowMattic is installed.

Are past Groove Sales customers added?

No. Only purchases made after you turn the workflow on create contacts. Earlier buyers would need importing into FluentCRM another way.

It's an exceptional product. Works great and extremely valuable. I saved thousands of dollard on Zapier, as Flowmattic makes me able to host the automation myself. And very deeply integrates with the products I need.

Tijn

Ease of use and terrific support from the founder. Tons of integrations and regular updates. The Flowmattic custom app is great especially if you want to integrate apps that aren't available yet inside Flowmattic.
