When New Order in SpreadSimple, Create an Order in WooCommerce
Each order placed in your SpreadSimple store is recreated as a new WooCommerce order on your WordPress site, so sales from both shops end up in one order list you can fulfil and report on.

What this workflow does
A SpreadSimple shop is quick to set up from a spreadsheet, but if your main store runs on WooCommerce you end up with two order lists to watch. Fulfilment, customer records and reports all live in WooCommerce. This workflow copies each SpreadSimple order across so everything is handled in one place.
The SpreadSimple trigger, New Order Received, fires when a new order is placed. Whatever SpreadSimple sends about the order and buyer is then ready for mapping. FlowMattic then runs Create New Order in WooCommerce, on the WordPress site where FlowMattic is installed, and you map the customer and order details into it.
The two stores don't share a product catalog, so line items need care. Decide how a SpreadSimple item becomes a WooCommerce product, map it accordingly, and place a test order to check the result in WooCommerce before going live. Every SpreadSimple order creates a new WooCommerce order; the template doesn't check whether one already exists.
One fulfilment queue for two storefronts
You sell a small range through a SpreadSimple page and the full range in WooCommerce. Packing staff work only from WooCommerce orders, which now include both.
Pop-up or seasonal shop
A holiday gift shop runs on SpreadSimple for a few weeks. Its orders flow into WooCommerce, so year-end sales figures cover the pop-up too.
Testing a new product line
You trial products on a quick SpreadSimple site before adding them to your main store, while still recording every trial sale in WooCommerce.
How this workflow runs
What happens at each step once the workflow is on, and what you need before you import it.
SpreadSimple New Order ReceivedFires when a customer places an order in your SpreadSimple shop. The order and customer details from SpreadSimple become available to map into WooCommerce.
WooCommerce Create New OrderCreates a new order in WooCommerce on your WordPress site. Map the SpreadSimple customer and order details into it, then check a test order in WooCommerce to confirm the products and totals.
What you need
- FlowMatticCore
- SpreadSimple AccountAccount
- WooCommerce PluginPlugin
After importing, map your own data. To keep the template universal, not every step is pre-filled. Open each step in the builder and connect your accounts and fields (channels, lists, sheets, recipients) before you switch the workflow on.
Make it yours
Changes worth making after you import it.
- Keep the same product names or SKUs in your SpreadSimple sheet and WooCommerce catalog. It makes mapping items from one store to the other far less error-prone.
- If the WooCommerce step has room for it, map the SpreadSimple order number into the new order so staff can trace each order back to where it came from.
- After your first live order, compare the totals in both stores. Differences in tax or shipping settings between them show up quickly this way.
Questions about this workflow
Does a SpreadSimple order change WooCommerce stock?
That depends on how the order is created and which products it contains. Place a test order and check the product's stock in WooCommerce before you rely on it.
Do the products have to exist in WooCommerce?
To link order lines to WooCommerce products, yes. Use a test run to see what SpreadSimple sends for each item and how it lands in the new order.
Is the customer charged again in WooCommerce?
No. Any payment is handled on the SpreadSimple side. The workflow only creates an order record in WooCommerce from the details it receives, it doesn't process a payment.
What if a SpreadSimple order is cancelled afterwards?
The workflow only reacts to new orders, so a later cancellation isn't passed on. Update or cancel the WooCommerce order by hand.
