Connect MemberPress and Google Sheets

Membership sites live on recurring numbers: who joined, who paid, who cancelled and who finished a course. FlowMattic writes those MemberPress events into Google Sheets from your WordPress site, and it can also act on the sheet, adding members your team lists or pausing a subscription when someone asks for a break.

MemberPress and Google Sheets workflows you can build

Each one uses only triggers and actions the two integrations ship today, plus FlowMattic's own tools. Where the library has a ready-made template, import it instead of building from scratch.

Add each new MemberPress subscription to a sheet

Member name, email, membership and price go into one row per subscription, giving the owner a member log to sort and share without logging into wp-admin.

Mark refunded payments in the payment log

When a transaction is refunded, the workflow finds its row by transaction number and changes the status cell, so monthly revenue in the sheet matches what you actually kept.

Build a cancellations sheet for retention reviews

Each cancelled subscription is added to its own tab with the membership and how long the person stayed, so you can spot which plans lose people early.

Create members from a corporate client's sheet

A company buying seats lists its staff in a sheet. Each new row creates the MemberPress member and writes the new member ID back into that row.

Set up: new subscriptions as rows

Once finished, every new MemberPress subscription is added to your Google Sheet as one row.

  1. Make the sheet

Create a spreadsheet with headers such as Date, Member, Email, Membership, Price and Subscription ID.

  2. Connect Google Sheets

Add a Google Sheets connection under Connects in FlowMattic. MemberPress is on the same WordPress site, so it needs no account.

  3. Choose the trigger

Start a workflow with MemberPress Subscription Created and make a test signup so FlowMattic captures a real subscription.

  4. Map the row

Add Google Sheets Add New Row, pick the spreadsheet and tab, map each subscription field to its column, test it and switch the workflow on.

Triggers and actions in this pair

A trigger starts a workflow. An action is something FlowMattic does in the app as a step.

Good to know

  • Member Added fires before payment is accepted. For paid members only, use Member Signup Completed or Transaction Completed instead.
  • Member Active on Membership may fire more than once for the same member, so look the member up with Lookup Row Data before adding a row.
  • The course triggers and the Complete Lesson, Complete Course and course progress actions need MemberPress Courses.

Why run this pair with FlowMattic

MemberPress and Google Sheets connect through FlowMattic on your own site, with no separate automation account in the middle and no charge per run.

Forty-seven MemberPress triggers

Signups, renewals, refunds, reminders, gifts and course progress can each fill their own tab, so the sheet reflects the whole membership business.

Member data stays on your site

Rows are written from your own WordPress server, and runs are unlimited, so renewal day with hundreds of payments costs nothing extra.

The sheet can manage members

With 41 MemberPress actions, staff can create members, pause subscriptions or issue refunds by editing a spreadsheet they already use.

Common questions

What does the MemberPress Google Sheets integration do?

It writes MemberPress events such as new subscriptions, payments, refunds, cancellations and course completions into Google Sheets rows, and it can turn sheet rows into MemberPress changes like new members or paused subscriptions.

Can I export members who joined before the workflow existed?

Yes. Use a Schedule with List Members, loop over the result with Iterator and add each member with Add New Row. Run it once to fill the sheet.

Can I log every renewal payment?

Yes. Renewal Transaction Completed fires for the second and later payments of a recurring subscription, so a separate tab can track renewals apart from first payments.

Can I issue refunds from the sheet?

Yes. Watch a column with Update Specific Column Value, check the value with a Filter, and run Refund Transaction with the transaction ID from that row. Test it carefully, because refunds go through your gateway.

Does it work with MemberPress reminders?

Yes. Triggers such as Before Subscription Renews or Before Credit Card Expires fire when your MemberPress reminders run, so each one can add a row to a follow-up tab.
