Connect IdentityCheck and Google Sheets

IdentityCheck verifies customer identities and returns completed responses and KYC decisions. Compliance teams often need a simple case log that auditors and managers can read. FlowMattic writes each IdentityCheck response and decision into Google Sheets from your own WordPress site, and can route failed or referred checks to a review queue.

IdentityCheck and Google Sheets workflows you can build

Each one uses only triggers and actions the two integrations ship today, plus FlowMattic's own tools. Where the library has a ready-made template, import it instead of building from scratch.

Record every verification decision in an audit log

Each KYC result adds a row with the reference, decision and date, giving compliance a dated record of who was approved or declined.

Open a case row when a verification form is completed

Response Complete adds a row as soon as the customer finishes the form, so the case log shows checks waiting for a decision as well as finished ones.

Write the decision into the open case

Verification Decision looks up the case by reference and fills in the result and decision date, so each customer has one row from start to finish.

A Filter passes decisions that are not approved. They go onto a Review tab and Email (SMTP) tells the compliance officer, who decides on next steps.

For borderline results, Human in the Loop pauses the workflow until a reviewer approves or rejects, and the outcome is written to the sheet with the case.

Set up: a decision audit log

At the end, each verification decision from IdentityCheck is written as a row in your audit log.

  1. Plan the columns

Create headers such as Reference, Customer, Decision, Decided at and Reviewer. Leave out document images and numbers.

  2. Connect IdentityCheck and Google

Under Connects, add your IdentityCheck account and a Google account that can edit the log.

  3. Start from Verification Decision

Create a workflow on the IdentityCheck Verification Decision trigger and run a test verification so the fields are captured.

  4. Map and enable

Add Google Sheets Add New Row, map only the fields the log needs, test it and switch the workflow on.

Triggers and actions in this pair

A trigger starts a workflow. An action is something FlowMattic does in the app as a step.

Good to know

  • Map the decision and a reference, not document numbers or images. A shared sheet is not the place for identity documents.
  • Response Complete and Verification Decision are separate events. Use the same reference on both so the decision finds its case row.
  • Field names depend on your IdentityCheck setup, so the mapping is an example. Check a captured test decision first.

Why run this pair with FlowMattic

IdentityCheck and Google Sheets connect through FlowMattic on your own site, with no separate automation account in the middle and no charge per run.

An audit trail that is easy to read

Managers and auditors can see who was checked, when and with what result, in a sheet with no special access.

Verification data through your server

Results pass through your own WordPress site into your sheet, so no outside automation account sees them.

Every check logged, same price

Runs are unlimited, so recording each decision during a busy onboarding month costs nothing extra on FlowMattic.

Common questions

Can I log IdentityCheck KYC results in Google Sheets?

Yes. A workflow on Verification Decision adds each result as a row with the reference, decision and date. Keep the columns to what your audit needs.

How do I see checks that are still waiting for a decision?

Add a row on Response Complete, then fill in the decision on that row when Verification Decision arrives. Rows without a decision are still open.

Can a person review borderline results before they are recorded?

Yes. Add Human in the Loop after a Filter for referred decisions. The workflow waits for the reviewer, then writes the outcome to the sheet.

Is it safe to keep verification data in a spreadsheet?

Store as little as you need: a reference, the decision and the date. Restrict sharing to the compliance team and keep documents in IdentityCheck.
