Connect IdentityCheck and Slack

IdentityCheck returns a decision on each KYC check and collects post-verification forms. FlowMattic sends that decision to the Slack channel that acts on it, tells the account owner when their client passes, and reminds ops to finish onboarding. For compliance and onboarding teams that would rather work from Slack than from a results screen.

When IdentityCheck fires Verification Decision, FlowMattic runs Send Channel Message in Slack with the data from that event.

IdentityCheck and Slack workflows you can build

Each one uses only triggers and actions the two integrations ship today, plus FlowMattic's own tools. Where the library has a ready-made template, import it instead of building from scratch.

Alert compliance when a verification decision comes back

The person's name and the decision post to the compliance channel as soon as IdentityCheck sends its KYC results, so nobody has to check the dashboard for finished cases.

Keep refused checks in a private review channel

A Router sends passes to the onboarding channel and refusals to a private channel, so only reviewers see the people who failed and why.

Tell the account owner their client is verified

A Lookup Table maps the client's reference or region to the owner's email, Find User by Email finds them in Slack, and a DM says they can go ahead.

Share completed post-verification forms with onboarding

Response Complete fires when the person finishes the form after their check, so the onboarding channel knows the case has every answer it needs.

Remind ops to finish setup after a pass

A Filter keeps passed decisions and Add Reminder nudges the onboarding owner the next morning, so a verified customer is not left waiting for an account.

Summarise long form answers before posting

An AI Agent turns a long post-verification form into a few lines, so the channel shows what matters and the full response stays in IdentityCheck.

Set up: decision alerts in Slack

At the end, each KYC decision from IdentityCheck posts to your compliance channel with the person and the outcome.

  1. Connect Slack

Under Connects in FlowMattic, add the Slack workspace your compliance team uses.

  2. Add Verification Decision

Create a workflow with IdentityCheck and Verification Decision, and follow the trigger's instructions so IdentityCheck sends its results to the workflow.

  3. Run a test check

Complete one verification in IdentityCheck so FlowMattic captures the decision fields.

  4. Write the alert

Add Slack Send Channel Message, choose the channel, map the name, decision and reference, test the step and switch the workflow on.

Triggers and actions in this pair

A trigger starts a workflow. An action is something FlowMattic does in the app as a step.

Good to know

  • The decision fields depend on how your IdentityCheck checks are set up, so the mapping above is an example. Capture one real decision first.
  • Find User by Email only works when the owner uses the same email in Slack. Keep a channel message as the fallback path.
  • Post outcomes and references, not document details. Slack is a chat tool, and the evidence for each check is safer left in IdentityCheck.

Why run this pair with FlowMattic

IdentityCheck and Slack connect through FlowMattic on your own site, with no separate automation account in the middle and no charge per run.

Decisions reach the people who act

Passes go to onboarding and refusals to reviewers, so each team sees only its own share of the results.

No customer waits on a missed result

Reminders after a pass keep account setup moving, even on days when the compliance team is busy elsewhere.

Runs on your WordPress site

FlowMattic runs on your own server with unlimited runs, so personal data passes through a system you control.

Common questions

How do I send IdentityCheck decisions to Slack?

Create a FlowMattic workflow with the Verification Decision trigger, follow its instructions so IdentityCheck sends results to the workflow, then add Slack Send Channel Message and map the decision into the text.

Can passes and refusals go to different channels?

Yes. Add a Router after the trigger with one path for each outcome. Each path ends in its own Slack step, such as Send Channel Message for passes and Send Private Channel Message for refusals.

What is the difference between the two IdentityCheck triggers?

Verification Decision fires when the KYC process sends its result. Response Complete fires when the person completes the post-verification form. Many teams use one workflow for each.

Can I DM the person who owns the client?

Yes, if you can work out their email. A Lookup Table can map a reference, region or product to an owner's email, and Find User by Email then finds the Slack user for Send Direct Message.

Can a private channel receive the alerts?

Yes. Add the Slack app to the private channel first, then use Send Private Channel Message instead of Send Channel Message.
