Connect FluentCRM and Slack

FluentCRM knows when a contact gets a tag, clicks a campaign link or unsubscribes, but that knowledge stays inside wp-admin. FlowMattic sends those moments to Slack, as a channel post for the team or a direct message for one rep, so sales and marketing can act on CRM activity where they already talk.

Do this in Slack14 actions

1. TriggerContact Added to Tags

When FluentCRM fires Contact Added to Tags, FlowMattic runs Send Channel Message in Slack with the data from that event.

You build this in the FlowMattic workflow builder on your own site. See the setup steps

FluentCRM and Slack workflows you can build

Each one uses only triggers and actions the two integrations ship today, plus FlowMattic's own tools. Where the library has a ready-made template, import it instead of building from scratch.

Alert sales when a contact gets the hot-lead tag

Your scoring rules or a form adds the tag, and the sales channel gets the name, email and source of the contact so someone can call while the interest is fresh.

Show marketing who unsubscribed and when

A short post for each unsubscribe helps the team spot a campaign that went wrong on the day, rather than at the end of the month.

DM a rep when a contact clicks the pricing link

A Filter keeps only clicks on your pricing or booking URL. The rep gets a direct message with the contact's details, which is a better reason to reach out than a cold list.

Post a morning call list from a tag, then clear it

Every morning the workflow fetches contacts with a call-me tag, posts each one to Slack and removes the tag, so tomorrow's list holds only new names.

Let support know a campaign just went out

When a campaign is sent, post its subject to the support channel. Agents then know why replies and questions about that offer are coming in.

Create a client channel when a company is added

B2B teams that track accounts as FluentCRM companies get a Slack channel named after each new company, ready for the account team to join.

Set up: hot-lead tag alerts

At the end, every contact who receives your chosen tag is announced in a Slack channel.

  1. Connect Slack

In FlowMattic, add a Slack connection under Connects. FluentCRM is on the same WordPress site, so it needs no separate account.

  2. Pick the tag trigger

Create a workflow with Contact Added to Tags and choose the tag that marks a hot lead.

  3. Capture a test contact

Add that tag to a test contact in FluentCRM so FlowMattic captures the contact's fields.

  4. Post to the sales channel

Add Send Channel Message, choose the channel, place the name, email and any custom fields in the text, test it and switch the workflow on.

Triggers and actions in this pair

A trigger starts a workflow. An action is something FlowMattic does in the app as a step.

Good to know

  • Slack has no triggers in FlowMattic, so Slack cannot update a contact. Workflows here start from a FluentCRM event, a Schedule or a Webhook.
  • Get Contact by Tag IDs asks for tag IDs, not names. Look them up in FluentCRM, or with Get All Tags, before you build the step.
  • Custom fields appear in the captured data only if the test contact has them filled in, so use a complete contact when testing.

Why run this pair with FlowMattic

FluentCRM and Slack connect through FlowMattic on your own site, with no separate automation account in the middle and no charge per run.

CRM data stays in WordPress

FluentCRM and FlowMattic both run on your site, so contact details go from your own database straight to Slack.

Big lists, same plan

Runs are unlimited, so alerting on every click of a large campaign costs the same as alerting on a few.

Signals become conversations

Tags, clicks and status changes reach the people who can act on them, without anyone watching the CRM dashboard.

Common questions

Which FluentCRM events can post to Slack?

Any of FluentCRM's triggers, including New Contact Created, Contact Added to Tags or Lists, status changes, Email Opened, Email Clicked, Email Bounced, Campaign Sent and the company events. Each can feed a Slack channel message, private channel message or DM.

Can I alert only on certain links?

Yes. Add a Filter after Email Clicked that continues only when the clicked URL contains your pricing or demo page.

Can the Slack message mention the contact owner?

If you store the owner's email in a custom field, map it into Find User by Email and send a direct message to the user it returns.

Can I send one message instead of many?

Yes. Run the workflow on a Schedule, fetch contacts with Get Contact by Tag IDs or by list, and post a single summary, or loop with Iterator when each contact needs its own line.

Does a Slack reply change anything in FluentCRM?

No. Slack has no triggers in FlowMattic, so replies stay in Slack. To record follow-ups, add a FluentCRM action such as Add Note to Contact inside the workflow itself.
