Connect Join.me and Google Sheets

Join.me hosts your calls, but it does not keep the kind of log a manager or a client invoice needs. FlowMattic writes a row to Google Sheets when a Join.me meeting starts and fills in the end when it finishes, so consultants, trainers and support teams have a record of every session.

1. TriggerMeeting Started
2. ActionAdd New Row

When Join.me fires Meeting Started, FlowMattic runs Add New Row in Google Sheets with the data from that event.

You build this in the FlowMattic workflow builder on your own site. See the setup steps

Join.me and Google Sheets workflows you can build

Each one uses only triggers and actions the two integrations ship today, plus FlowMattic's own tools. Where the library has a ready-made template, import it instead of building from scratch.

Log each Join.me meeting as it starts

A row with the host, meeting name and start time is written when a session begins, so the team calendar and what actually happened can be compared.

Fill in the end time on the same row

When the meeting ends, look up its meeting ID and write the end time into that row. A sheet formula then works out how long each session ran.

Record finished sessions for client billing

Consultants who bill by the hour write each ended meeting to a Billing tab, with the time formatted the way the invoice template reads it.

Give each host their own tab

A Router sends each started meeting to the tab of the person who hosted it, so team leads can review one trainer's sessions without filtering the sheet.

Send a recap email after the session is logged

Once the ended meeting is written to the sheet, an Email (SMTP) step sends the host a short note asking for follow-up actions while the call is still fresh.

Set up: each meeting as a row

At the end, every Join.me meeting that starts is written to your Google Sheet as one row.

  1. Prepare the sheet

Add columns such as Meeting ID, Meeting name, Host, Started and Ended. Leave Ended blank for the second workflow to fill.

  2. Connect Google Sheets

Open Connects in FlowMattic and add a Google Sheets connection with an account that can edit the sheet.

  3. Start with Meeting Started

Create a workflow with the Join.me Meeting Started trigger, follow its setup steps and start a short test meeting so FlowMattic captures the data.

  4. Write the row

Add Google Sheets Add New Row, map the meeting fields to the columns, test it and switch the workflow on.

Triggers and actions in this pair

A trigger starts a workflow. An action is something FlowMattic does in the app as a step.

Good to know

  • Meeting Started and Meeting Ended arrive as two separate runs. Keep the meeting ID in every row so the end event can find the row the start event wrote.
  • The mapping shows typical fields. Start a test meeting and check what FlowMattic captured before you map the columns.
  • Data moves from Join.me into the sheet. Changing a row does not schedule or cancel anything in Join.me.

Why run this pair with FlowMattic

Join.me and Google Sheets connect through FlowMattic on your own site, with no separate automation account in the middle and no charge per run.

A meeting record you own

Every session is written to your own spreadsheet through your own WordPress site, so the history stays with you if you change tools later.

Busy weeks cost nothing extra

Runs are unlimited, so a support team holding dozens of screen shares a day pays the same as a consultant with two calls a week.

Billing starts from real times

Start and end times come from the meeting itself, not from someone's memory at the end of the month, which makes hourly invoices easier to defend.

Common questions

Can the sheet show how long each Join.me meeting lasted?

Yes. Log the start with Meeting Started, then use Meeting Ended to look up the row and write the end time. A simple formula in the sheet subtracts one from the other.

Why are there two workflows instead of one?

Each Join.me event starts its own workflow. One handles the start and adds the row, the other handles the end and updates it.

Can I keep only client meetings in the billing tab?

Yes. Add a Filter after Meeting Ended that checks the meeting name, for example for a client code, so internal calls are not written to the billing tab.

Can I send the meeting log to someone each week?

Google Sheets can share the sheet with anyone who needs it. You can also add Export Sheet to PDF in the meeting workflow to save a copy to the WordPress Media Library.
