Docsumo reads invoices, receipts and statements and pulls out the fields you need. FlowMattic takes that extracted data when a document's status changes and writes it into Google Sheets, so accounts teams get a ready ledger of supplier invoices, with line items, duplicates flagged and every document's review status visible.

Docsumo and Google Sheets workflows you can build
Each one uses only triggers and actions the two integrations ship today, plus FlowMattic's own tools. Where the library has a ready-made template, import it instead of building from scratch.
Ready-made template
Add extracted invoice data to a Google Sheets row
When a document's status changes, its extracted fields, such as supplier, invoice number, date and total, are written as a row, ready for the bookkeeper to check and pay.
A Filter checks the new status and passes approved documents only, so figures in the sheet have been through Docsumo's human review before anyone relies on them.
Document Status Change→Filter→Add New Row
Add one row per invoice line item
Line item tables come through as a list. An Iterator loops over it and writes each item with its quantity and price, which lets you analyse spend by product or cost code.
Document Status Change→Iterator→Add New Row
Catch invoices that were already entered
Search the invoice number before writing. A Router adds new invoices and sends repeats to an email for the accounts team, so the same bill is not paid twice.
Document Status Change→Lookup Row Data→Router→Add New Row→Email (SMTP)
Track each document's status in one row
Find the document by its ID and update the status column each time it moves, from processing to review to approved, so stuck documents are easy to spot.
Document Status Change→Lookup Row Data→Update Row
Keep an access log of Docsumo user changes
User Status Change logs each change to a team member's status, giving the finance manager a simple record of who could review documents and when.

Triggers and actions in this pair
A trigger starts a workflow. An action is something FlowMattic does in the app as a step.
Good to know
A document changes status several times, and each change starts a run. Filter on the status you want, or use the tracker example, to avoid several rows per document.
Extracted field names depend on the document type and your Docsumo setup, so the mapping above is an example.
The sheet receives Docsumo's data. Correcting a value in the sheet does not change the document in Docsumo.

Why run this pair with FlowMattic
Docsumo and Google Sheets connect through FlowMattic on your own site, with no separate automation account in the middle and no charge per run.
Invoice data with no retyping
Supplier, number, date and total arrive in the sheet already split into columns, ready for approval and payment runs.
Financial documents stay on your server
Extracted data goes from Docsumo through your own WordPress site to Google, not through another automation account.
Month-end volume, same cost
Runs are unlimited, so a month-end pile of hundreds of invoices costs nothing extra to log.
Common questions
Which Docsumo data can go into Google Sheets?
The fields Docsumo extracts from the document, along with its ID and status. Process a sample document of each type you use so FlowMattic sees all of its fields before you map them.
How do I avoid several rows for one document?
Filter on the status you care about, such as approved, or search the document ID with Lookup Row Data and update its row instead of adding a new one.
Can line items go into separate rows?
Yes. Put an Iterator on the line item list and run Add New Row inside it. Each item becomes a row, with the invoice number repeated so you can group them.
Can I flag duplicate invoices?
Yes. Look up the invoice number before writing and use a Router: Add New Row when it is new, an email to the accounts team when it is already in the sheet.
