Run a Brilliant Directories site from a spreadsheet when that is easier. FlowMattic creates directory posts and members from Google Sheets rows, and writes leads, reviews and plan signups back to a sheet. Directory owners get bulk publishing and a reporting list without exporting from the admin.

Google Sheets and Brilliant Directories workflows you can build
Each one uses only triggers and actions the two integrations ship today, plus FlowMattic's own tools. Where the library has a ready-made template, import it instead of building from scratch.
Ready-made template
Publish Brilliant Directories posts from sheet rows
Write listings, events or articles in a sheet and each new or edited row creates a post on the directory, which suits teams that prepare content in bulk.

Triggers and actions in this pair
A trigger starts a workflow. An action is something FlowMattic does in the app as a step.
Good to know
New Or Updated Spreadsheet Row also fires when a row is edited, so editing a published row can create a second post. Add a Posted column and a Filter if rows get edited after publishing.
Post fields depend on the post types set up on your directory, so the mapping above is an example.
Update Lead, Update Post and Update User need the record's ID. Keep the ID in a column when you create records from the sheet.

Why run this pair with FlowMattic
Google Sheets and Brilliant Directories connect through FlowMattic on your own site, with no separate automation account in the middle and no charge per run.
Bulk work without CSV imports
Prepare members and posts in a spreadsheet your team already shares, and each row is created on the directory as it is added.
Reports the directory can show
Leads, reviews and plan changes collect in a sheet you can chart, which helps when members ask what their listing is worth.
Runs on your WordPress site
FlowMattic runs on your own server with unlimited runs, so a directory with thousands of members costs the same to automate as a small one.
Common questions
Can I add Brilliant Directories members from Google Sheets?
Yes. Start a workflow with New Spreadsheet Row and add a Create User step that maps the row's name, email and plan. Each new row becomes a member on the directory.
Will editing a row create a duplicate post?
It can with New Or Updated Spreadsheet Row. Add a Posted column, use a Filter to skip rows already marked, and write the post ID back with Update Row after Create Post.
Which directory events can fill a sheet?
Many of the Brilliant Directories triggers can, including Lead Submitted, Member Review Submitted, Paid Plan Signup, Free Plan Signup, Member Plan Changed, Member Plan Cancelled and One-Time Purchase.
Can I delete directory records from the sheet?
Yes. Delete Lead, Delete Post, Delete Review and Delete User are actions. Start from Update Specific Column Value and a Filter on a value like Remove, so nothing is deleted by accident.
Is my directory's member data sent anywhere else?
Only to the spreadsheet you choose. The workflow runs on your own WordPress site and passes data between Brilliant Directories and Google Sheets.
