Connect Runscope and Google Sheets

Runscope runs your API tests on a schedule and reports each completed Radar run. FlowMattic writes every run to Google Sheets, so your team keeps a long test history, can chart response times, and has a status board showing whether each API test passed last time, readable by people who never open Runscope.

When Runscope fires New Completed Radar Test Run, FlowMattic runs Add New Row in Google Sheets with the data from that event.

Runscope and Google Sheets workflows you can build

Each one uses only triggers and actions the two integrations ship today, plus FlowMattic's own tools. Where the library has a ready-made template, import it instead of building from scratch.

Log every completed Runscope Radar test run

Each run adds a row with test name, result, environment and time, building a history of your API checks you can filter and chart.

Collect failed runs on a failures tab

A Filter passes only runs that did not pass, so the on-call developer reviews a short list of failures instead of every run.

Show the latest result of each test on a status board

Find the test by name in a status tab and overwrite its result and time, so product managers see which APIs are passing now.

Record response times in readable seconds

Number Formatter converts millisecond timings and rounds them before they are written, so latency charts in the sheet read cleanly.

Split runs by bucket or environment

A Router sends production and staging runs to separate tabs, so a broken staging build does not crowd the production history.

Set up: a row for every test run

At the end, each completed Radar test run adds a row to your test history sheet.

  1. Create the history tab

Add headers such as Test, Environment, Result, Response time and Finished at.

  2. Connect Google Sheets

Under Connects, add a Google account with edit access to the file.

  3. Choose the Radar trigger

Create a workflow with New Completed Radar Test Run and follow the setup shown in the trigger step.

  4. Run a test

Start a Radar test in Runscope so FlowMattic captures a completed run.

  5. Map and turn on

Add Google Sheets Add New Row, map the run fields, test the step and switch the workflow on.

Triggers and actions in this pair

A trigger starts a workflow. An action is something FlowMattic does in the app as a step.

Good to know

  • The trigger fires for passing and failing runs alike. Add a Filter on the result if you only want failures.
  • Field names come from Runscope's run data, so check a captured run before you map. The mapping above is an example.
  • Tests that run every minute write many rows. Use a status tab with Update Row if you only need the latest result.

Why run this pair with FlowMattic

Runscope and Google Sheets connect through FlowMattic on your own site, with no separate automation account in the middle and no charge per run.

Test results on your server

Run data passes through your WordPress site to the sheet, not through another automation account.

Frequent schedules cost the same

Runs are unlimited, so tests every few minutes across many APIs need no bigger plan.

A status board for everyone

Product and support staff check the sheet instead of asking developers whether an API is up.

Common questions

How do I send Runscope test results to Google Sheets?

Create a workflow with the Runscope New Completed Radar Test Run trigger, run a test, then add Google Sheets Add New Row and map the test, result and timing fields.

Can I log only failed tests?

Yes. Add a Filter after the trigger that passes runs whose result is not a pass, then write those runs to a failures tab.

Can I see only the latest result for each test?

Yes. Keep one row per test in a status tab. Find it with Lookup Row Data and overwrite the result with Update Row on each run.

Will a large history slow the sheet down?

Very large tabs get slower to open. Export the history now and then with Export sheet to CSV and clear old rows, or keep a status tab instead.
