Connect Typeform and WooCommerce

Typeform is good at asking questions: product quizzes, wholesale applications, pre-order forms and post-purchase surveys. FlowMattic takes each response into your WooCommerce store, where it can create a customer account, a personal coupon, a draft order or a product review. It suits shops that use conversational forms to sell, qualify buyers or collect feedback.

When Typeform fires New Form Submission, FlowMattic runs Create a Customer in WooCommerce with the data from that event.

Typeform and WooCommerce workflows you can build

Each one uses only triggers and actions the two integrations ship today, plus FlowMattic's own tools. Where the library has a ready-made template, import it instead of building from scratch.

Create a WooCommerce customer from each Typeform response

Wholesale and membership applications become store accounts, so an approved buyer can log in and order without registering a second time.

Check for an existing customer before creating one

Look the respondent's email up in the store first. A Router updates the customer who already has an account and creates one only for new people.

Reward quiz takers with a coupon only they can use

A product-finder or skin-type quiz ends with a code tied to the respondent's email, which gives a finished quiz a good reason to become a first order.

Email each quiz result with the matching product

Lookup Table turns the quiz outcome into a product ID, the store returns its name, price and link, and the respondent gets their match by email.

Place a draft order from a Typeform pre-order form

Pre-order or made-to-order forms create a WooCommerce order with the chosen product, so stock counts and fulfilment run from the store as usual.

Publish post-purchase survey answers as product reviews

A survey that asks for a star rating and a comment becomes a WooCommerce review on the product page it is about.

Attach delivery feedback to the customer's latest order

Answers from a delivery survey are saved as a note on the order they describe, so support reads the complaint or praise beside the order itself.

Set up: responses as store customers

At the end, every new Typeform response creates a WooCommerce customer with the name and email the person gave.

  1. Connect Typeform

Under Connects in FlowMattic, add your Typeform account. WooCommerce is part of this site and needs no connection.

  2. Trigger on New Form Submission

Create a workflow with Typeform and New Form Submission, pick the form, and submit a test response so the answers are captured.

  3. Add Create a Customer

Add WooCommerce with Create a Customer and map the email, first name, last name and any billing answers from the response.

  4. Test and switch on

Test the step, find the new customer under WooCommerce customers, then switch the workflow on.

Triggers and actions in this pair

A trigger starts a workflow. An action is something FlowMattic does in the app as a step.

Good to know

  • Every workflow here starts from a new Typeform response, and nothing is written back to Typeform.
  • An email address can belong to only one WordPress account, so check with Get Customer by Email before Create a Customer if repeat respondents are likely.
  • Product lookups need a value the store knows. Label answer choices or hidden fields with SKUs so Get Product by SKU finds the right product.

Why run this pair with FlowMattic

Typeform and WooCommerce connect through FlowMattic on your own site, with no separate automation account in the middle and no charge per run.

Answers stay on your own site

Responses travel from Typeform into WooCommerce through your WordPress server, not through another company's automation account.

Quiz traffic costs nothing extra

Runs are unlimited on every plan, so a viral quiz with thousands of responses needs no bigger plan than a quiet one.

One response, many store steps

The same workflow can create the customer, issue a coupon and add an order note, with a Router choosing the path by answer.

Common questions

Can Typeform create a WooCommerce customer automatically?

Yes. Start with the Typeform New Form Submission trigger and add WooCommerce Create a Customer, mapping the email and name answers. Add Get Customer by Email first if the same person may answer twice.

Can a product quiz recommend a real product from my store?

Yes. Use Lookup Table to turn each quiz outcome into a product ID or SKU, fetch the product with Get Product by ID or Get Product by SKU, and send its link and price by email.

Can Typeform take payment for a WooCommerce order?

These workflows create orders from answers but do not move payment between the two. Use a pre-order form to create the order, then let the customer pay through your store's normal payment methods.

Will older responses be imported?

No. The trigger runs for responses that arrive after the workflow is switched on. Export earlier responses from Typeform if you need to add those customers.

Can I restrict a coupon to the person who took the quiz?

Yes. After Create Coupon, run Add Email(s) to Coupon with the respondent's email, so the code works only for that address at checkout.
