Connect Typeform and Discord

Community managers and agencies often collect applications, feedback and briefs in Typeform while the conversation happens on Discord. FlowMattic takes each response and posts it, opens a forum thread or a channel for it, or gives the person a role on the server. Workflows are built on the visual builder in your WordPress admin.

Typeform and Discord workflows you can build

Each one uses only triggers and actions the two integrations ship today, plus FlowMattic's own tools. Where the library has a ready-made template, import it instead of building from scratch.

Post each Typeform response to a Discord channel

New answers show up in a channel the team already watches, so sign-ups, orders or questions get noticed without anyone logging in to Typeform.

Give the member role to approved applicants

Your join form asks for a Discord username and agreement to the rules. A Filter checks the answers, Find User locates the person and Add Role lets them into the members' channels.

Open a forum thread for every bug report

Each bug report form becomes a new post in your feedback forum with the steps and device from the answers, so others can add details in one thread.

Create a private channel for each new client brief

Agencies running client work on Discord get a channel named after the client from the intake form, with the brief posted as the first message.

Summarise long survey answers with AI before posting

An AI Agent turns a long survey response into three lines with the main point and mood, so the channel stays readable when many responses arrive.

Set up: post each response

When you finish, every new response to your form is posted in the Discord channel you pick.

  1. Connect Typeform

In FlowMattic, add your Typeform account under Connects.

  2. Connect Discord

Add a Discord connection for the server you want to post to.

  3. Capture a response

Create a workflow with Typeform's New Form Submission, pick the form and submit a test response so FlowMattic has real answers to map.

  4. Post the message

Add Discord's Send Channel Message, choose the channel, build the message from the answers, test it and switch the workflow on.

Triggers and actions in this pair

A trigger starts a workflow. An action is something FlowMattic does in the app as a step.

Good to know

  • Typeform has one trigger and no actions, so Discord events cannot start a workflow that changes a form.
  • Find User searches by name, so ask for the exact Discord username in the form. A misspelled name means the role or message has no one to go to.
  • Your answers depend on the form's questions, so the mapping above is an example.

Why run this pair with FlowMattic

Typeform and Discord connect through FlowMattic on your own site, with no separate automation account in the middle and no charge per run.

Responses go where people talk

Your team and community already read Discord, so answers posted there get seen and discussed.

Applications without manual role work

Discord's Find User and Add Role actions let a form decide who gets access, with a Filter on the answers that matter.

Unlimited responses on any plan

Runs are unlimited and happen on your own WordPress site, so a viral survey costs no more than a small one.

Common questions

How does the Typeform Discord integration work?

FlowMattic catches each new Typeform response and runs the Discord steps you add, such as Send Channel Message, Create new Forum Post or Add Role. You map the answers into the message once and switch the workflow on.

Can different answers go to different channels?

Yes. Add a Router after the trigger with one path per answer, for example by topic or score, and give each path its own Send Channel Message.

Can I message the person who filled the form?

Yes, if they are on your server. Ask for their username, find them with Find User, then use Send Direct Message.

Can a response create a new channel?

Yes. Create Channel can make a channel or category from an answer, such as a client or team name, and the next step can post the full response into it.
