Acumbamail holds your lists and campaigns, but the rest of the business often plans from a spreadsheet. FlowMattic keeps the two in step: new subscribers, unsubscribes, clicks and bounces are written to Google Sheets, and rows you add in the sheet become Acumbamail subscribers or SMS messages. It suits marketers who report or import from Sheets.

Acumbamail and Google Sheets workflows you can build
Each one uses only triggers and actions the two integrations ship today, plus FlowMattic's own tools. Where the library has a ready-made template, import it instead of building from scratch.
Ready-made template
Log each new Acumbamail subscriber in Google Sheets
Every person who joins a list gets a row with their email and list, so sales or the shop owner can see sign-ups without opening Acumbamail.
Mark unsubscribes on the subscriber's existing row
Find the row by email and write the date they left, so the sheet keeps the full history and nobody adds them back to a campaign by mistake.
New Unsubscriber→Lookup Row Data→Update Row
Flag hard-bounced addresses for clean-up
A hard bounce means the address does not work. Writing it into the sheet gives whoever owns the CRM a list of contacts to correct or remove.
Hard Bounced→Lookup Row Data→Update Row
Keep a sheet of who clicked which campaign link
Link Clicked records the subscriber and the link, so a follow-up call list or a simple click report builds itself during the campaign.
Link Clicked→Add New Row
Add subscribers from new sheet rows with their custom fields
Event lists and trade-show contacts often arrive as spreadsheets. Each new row becomes an Acumbamail subscriber with city, company or other custom fields filled.
New Spreadsheet Row→Add/Update Subscriber with Custom Fields
Text a customer when their row is marked ready
When the status column changes to Ready, Acumbamail sends an SMS to the phone number in that row, for example to say an order can be collected.
Update Specific Column Value→Filter→Send SMS
Unsubscribe contacts whose row is deleted
When someone removes a contact from the master sheet, Delete Subscriber takes them off the Acumbamail list too, so the two lists stay the same.

Triggers and actions in this pair
A trigger starts a workflow. An action is something FlowMattic does in the app as a step.
Good to know
If you send to several Acumbamail lists, map the list ID into its own column or build one workflow per list, so rows from different lists are easy to tell apart.
Delete Subscriber needs the email address. Test the Deleted Spreadsheet Row trigger with a real row and check the email is in the captured data before you switch it on.
Store phone numbers with the country code in the sheet, or add it with Text Formatter, so each SMS reaches the right country.

Why run this pair with FlowMattic
Acumbamail and Google Sheets connect through FlowMattic on your own site, with no separate automation account in the middle and no charge per run.
List changes reach the sheet you report from
Joins, leaves, clicks and bounces are written where your team already builds reports, instead of in exports nobody refreshes.
Imports without CSV files
A row added to a sheet becomes a subscriber, so event and partner lists do not need a manual upload.
Runs on your WordPress site
FlowMattic runs on your own server with unlimited runs, so a large campaign's clicks cost nothing extra to log.
Common questions
Can I import a Google Sheet into Acumbamail automatically?
Yes, for new rows. The New Spreadsheet Row trigger runs Add/Update Subscriber with Custom Fields for each row you add. For rows already in the sheet, run a Schedule workflow with Get Rows and an Iterator once.
Will updating a row change the subscriber in Acumbamail?
It can. Start from New Or Updated Spreadsheet Row and run Add/Update Subscriber, which updates an existing subscriber with the same email.
Can I see campaign opens as well as clicks?
Yes. Campaign Opened is a separate trigger. Build a second workflow that adds a row for each open, or updates a column on the subscriber's existing row.
Can I send SMS without sending email?
Yes. Send SMS is its own Acumbamail action, so a sheet row can send a text message without any email campaign. Keep the message short and include who it is from.
