Connect Gumroad and Google Sheets

Creators sell ebooks, courses, templates and memberships on Gumroad. Google Sheets is a simple place to total income per product, plan launches and keep a buyer list. FlowMattic adds each Gumroad sale to a sheet from your own WordPress site, with the product, price and buyer email in the columns you choose.

When Gumroad fires New Sale, FlowMattic runs Add New Row in Google Sheets with the data from that event.

Gumroad and Google Sheets workflows you can build

Each one uses only triggers and actions the two integrations ship today, plus FlowMattic's own tools. Where the library has a ready-made template, import it instead of building from scratch.

Log every new Gumroad sale in a sheet

Each sale adds a row with the product, price, buyer email and date, giving you an income record you can total by month for your accountant.

Give each product its own sales tab

A Router reads the product name, so your template pack, your course and your newsletter each have a tab with their own buyers and totals.

Convert prices before they are logged

Check how the price arrives in a test sale. If it is in cents, Number Formatter divides it into a normal amount, so totals in the sheet need no fixing.

Spot repeat buyers on a customer tab

Look up the buyer's email on a Customers tab and update their row with the latest product, so you can see who buys more than once and invite them to a beta.

Add a month column for income reports

Date/Time Formatter turns the sale time into a month and year, so one SUMIF per month gives the income figures for your tax return.

Log the sale and send a personal thank-you

After the row is written, Email (SMTP) sends a short note from your own address with a link to your community or a bonus, separate from Gumroad's receipt.

Set up: every sale as a row

At the end, each purchase of one of your Gumroad products is added as a row to your sales sheet.

  1. Prepare the sales tab

Add headers such as Sale ID, Date, Product, Price, Buyer email and Country.

  2. Connect Gumroad and Google

Under Connects, add your Gumroad account and a Google account that can edit the sales spreadsheet.

  3. Trigger on New Sale

Create a workflow with the Gumroad New Sale trigger and make a test purchase, for example of a free or discounted product, so the fields are captured.

  4. Write the sale

Add Google Sheets Add New Row, map the sale fields to the headers, test it and switch the workflow on.

Triggers and actions in this pair

A trigger starts a workflow. An action is something FlowMattic does in the app as a step.

Good to know

  • Every workflow here starts from New Sale. Refunds and cancellations are not part of these examples, so adjust those rows by hand.
  • Check the price format in your captured sale before building totals; a Number Formatter step fixes it if needed.
  • The fields above are examples. Custom fields you ask buyers for at checkout also arrive and can be mapped to their own columns.

Why run this pair with FlowMattic

Gumroad and Google Sheets connect through FlowMattic on your own site, with no separate automation account in the middle and no charge per run.

Your income in one sheet

All products and launches land in one spreadsheet you can total, chart and share with an accountant.

Launch days cost the same

Runs are unlimited, so a launch with thousands of sales needs no bigger FlowMattic plan than a quiet week.

Buyer data on your own site

Sales pass through your WordPress site into your sheet, so your buyer list does not depend on another automation account.

Common questions

How do I connect Gumroad to Google Sheets?

Add both accounts under Connects, start a workflow with the Gumroad New Sale trigger and add a Google Sheets Add New Row step. Map the product, price and buyer email to your columns, test and switch it on.

Can I split sales by product?

Yes. A Router after New Sale can send each product to its own tab, or you can keep one tab with a Product column and use a pivot table.

Why do my prices look too large?

Some sale data gives the price in cents. Add a Number Formatter step that divides by 100 before the row is written.

Can I keep one row per customer?

Yes. Look up the buyer email on a Customers tab with Lookup Row Data and use Update Row when a match is found, alongside the full sales log.
