Connect Alchemer and Slack

Survey answers are most useful while they are fresh. FlowMattic posts each Alchemer response to Slack, sends unhappy customers to the people who can call them, summarises long open-text answers and keeps employee surveys in a private channel. For research, CX and HR teams who run surveys in Alchemer.

Alchemer and Slack workflows you can build

Each one uses only triggers and actions the two integrations ship today, plus FlowMattic's own tools. Where the library has a ready-made template, import it instead of building from scratch.

Post every new Alchemer response to a Slack channel

The survey name and the key answers appear in the research channel, so the team reads responses as they come in during a fieldwork window.

Route low satisfaction scores to customer success

A Filter keeps responses with a score under your threshold and posts them to a private CS channel, so someone can contact the customer the same day.

Summarise open-text answers with AI before posting

An AI Agent reads the comment boxes and writes a one-line summary with a sentiment, so a channel full of feedback can be scanned at a glance.

Keep employee pulse surveys out of public channels

A Router sends staff surveys to a private HR channel and customer surveys to the open feedback channel, so confidential answers stay with HR.

Set up: responses to a channel

At the end, every completed Alchemer response posts its key answers to your Slack channel.

  1. Connect Slack

Under Connects in FlowMattic, add your Slack workspace.

  2. Add New Survey Response

Create a workflow with Alchemer and New Survey Response, and follow the trigger's instructions to send the survey's responses to the workflow.

  3. Take the survey once

Complete the survey with test answers so FlowMattic captures each question's field.

  4. Build the message

Add Slack Send Channel Message, choose the channel, place the answers you want in the text, test it and switch the workflow on.

Triggers and actions in this pair

A trigger starts a workflow. An action is something FlowMattic does in the app as a step.

Good to know

  • Fields follow the questions in your survey, so the mapping above is an example. Recapture a test response after you add or reword questions.
  • Anonymous surveys may carry no email. Leave the respondent out of the message, or the post will show an empty field.
  • A survey with many questions makes a long message. Post the score and comments, and keep a link to the full response for the rest.

Triggers (1)

  • New Survey ResponseTriggers when a new Alchemer survey is submitted.

Why run this pair with FlowMattic

Alchemer and Slack connect through FlowMattic on your own site, with no separate automation account in the middle and no charge per run.

Feedback reaches the people who act

Detractors go to customer success, staff answers stay with HR and the rest go to the research channel.

Open text made readable

AI summaries turn long comments into lines the team can scan, while the full answer is a click away in Alchemer.

Big surveys, same cost

FlowMattic runs on your WordPress site with unlimited runs, so a survey with thousands of responses costs nothing extra to post.

Common questions

How do I post Alchemer survey responses to Slack?

Create a FlowMattic workflow with the Alchemer New Survey Response trigger, follow its instructions so the survey sends responses to the workflow, then add Slack Send Channel Message and map the answers into the text.

Can I post only negative responses?

Yes. Add a Filter after the trigger that continues only when the score question is below your threshold, such as 7 on a 0 to 10 scale.

Can different surveys go to different channels?

Yes. A Router reads the survey title or ID and gives each survey its own Slack step and channel.

Can the response also open a support ticket?

Yes. Add an API request step before the Slack message to create a ticket in your helpdesk, then include the ticket link in the post.

Will partial responses post?

The trigger fires when a survey is submitted. Test with your own survey to see when responses arrive and add a Filter on the status if you get any you do not want.
