Connect GMass and Slack

GMass sends cold outreach and mail merges from Gmail. FlowMattic posts what recipients do next to Slack: a reply to answer, a click on your pricing link, a bounce that hurts your sender reputation, an unsubscribe to respect. Sales reps, founders and agencies running campaigns see the signals that need a person without watching the GMass reports.

When this happens in GMass6 triggers

Do this in Slack14 actions

1. TriggerEmail Opened
2. ActionSend Channel Message

When GMass fires Email Opened, FlowMattic runs Send Channel Message in Slack with the data from that event.

You build this in the FlowMattic workflow builder on your own site. See the setup steps

GMass and Slack workflows you can build

Each one uses only triggers and actions the two integrations ship today, plus FlowMattic's own tools. Where the library has a ready-made template, import it instead of building from scratch.

Post GMass email opens to the outreach channel

Opens show which campaigns people are reading. Posting them gives the team a feel for subject lines that work while the campaign is still sending.

Tell the rep when a prospect replies

A reply is the one signal that needs a human. The rep who owns the campaign gets a direct message with the prospect and subject, so the answer goes out today.

Flag clicks on your pricing or booking link

A Filter keeps only clicks on the links that show buying intent, such as pricing or a calendar page, and posts them to the sales channel for a timely follow-up.

Watch bounces to protect your sending domain

Bounced emails post to a deliverability channel, so whoever owns the list can clean bad addresses before a high bounce rate hurts the next campaign.

Record unsubscribes so nobody emails them by hand

Each unsubscribe posts to the sales channel, so reps know not to follow up manually from their own inbox with someone who opted out.

Remind the rep to follow up after several opens

A Counter tracks opens and a Filter continues once a prospect has opened several times, then Slack sets the rep a reminder to call or send a personal note.

Set up: email opens to outreach

At the end, each open on your GMass campaigns is posted to your outreach channel with the recipient and campaign subject.

  1. Connect Slack

Open Connects in FlowMattic and add Slack with the account that will post outreach updates.

  2. Use Email Opened

Create a workflow with the GMass Email Opened trigger and follow the instructions shown to connect your GMass account.

  3. Open a test email

Send a small test campaign to yourself and open it, so FlowMattic captures the open fields.

  4. Post the open

Add Send Channel Message, choose the channel and map the recipient email and subject. Test the step and switch it on.

Triggers and actions in this pair

A trigger starts a workflow. An action is something FlowMattic does in the app as a step.

Good to know

  • Opens are counted by tracking pixels, and some mail apps load images automatically, so treat opens as a rough signal. Replies and clicks are better reasons to interrupt a rep.
  • Email Sent covers emails sent as part of a campaign, not transactional emails, so it will not post one-off messages you send by hand.
  • A busy campaign can produce many opens an hour. Send them to a quiet channel, or use a Filter, and keep the sales channel for replies and clicks.

Triggers (6)

  • Email SentTriggers when an individual email is sent as part of a campaign. This is not the trigger for transactional emails.
  • Email OpenedTriggers when an email is opened.
  • Email RepliedTriggers when an email that is sent as part of a campaign receives a reply.
  • Email UnsubscribedTriggers when an email address is unsubscribed.
  • Email ClickedTriggers when a link is clicked in an email.
  • Email BouncedTriggers when an email bounces.

Why run this pair with FlowMattic

GMass and Slack connect through FlowMattic on your own site, with no separate automation account in the middle and no charge per run.

Replies get answered the same day

Direct messages to the rep who owns the campaign mean a warm reply does not wait in a shared inbox.

Deliverability problems are seen early

Bounces and unsubscribes posted to Slack let you clean the list before the next send, not after the damage is done.

No limit on tracked events

FlowMattic runs on your WordPress site with unlimited runs, so a large campaign's opens and clicks cost nothing extra to post.

Common questions

How do I get GMass notifications in Slack?

Connect Slack in FlowMattic, start a workflow with a GMass trigger such as Email Opened or Email Replied, and add Send Channel Message. Map the recipient and subject, test it with a real event and switch it on.

Can each rep get only their own replies?

Yes, when the reply data includes the sending account's email. Find User by Email looks the rep up in Slack and Send Direct Message sends the reply alert to them.

Which GMass event should I use for sales follow-ups?

Email Replied for conversations and Email Clicked for interest in a specific link. Opens are useful for campaign reporting, but they are less reliable as a sign of intent.

Can bounces go to a private channel?

Yes. Use Send Private Channel Message in the workflow that starts from Email Bounced, so list-quality alerts stay with the people who manage the list.
